William Mac & Mustapha Mond [Cleared]
Accused:
[player]William Mac[/player]
[player]Mustapha Mond[/player]
The accused are suspected of:
Being Multis
Conducting Secret Diplomacy
Game number(s):
Game 4036280
Comments:
This game is an Assassin game. The offending players have logged 2,000 and 4,000 games respectively. If these were noobs, I would assume they simply didn't understand what an assassin game was, but since they are clearly not new - this is evidence of cheating. Neither player has attacked anyone except me - and unless there is a glitch, I am not the target of both of these players.

Re: William Mac & Mustapha Mond
I don't play assassin games and suck total butt at them.
I doubt Mond is a cheat.
He's been around for awhile and has always been a solid player both in team and standard games.
I bet he sucks at assassin games like I do

Round 1
Mustapha Mond attacks you. At the beginning of the game he held Kienholz 1 property out of the 4 property bonus and 2 properties right outside to reinforce a move for that bonus. (Kadinsky & Kline).
Explanation:
He attacked Smith and reinforced there to give it a 2/2 split for that bonus. Whether he has you as a target is null and void, some times in assassin games you can make moves to attack non-targets to achieve a bonus. Thus, if this is his strategy it can be conceivable with the facts that I just presented above. Especially at the beginning of the game.
On your turn you did this: you deploy on one of those 2 regions you had in that 2/2 split bonus that I referred to above (Modigliani) and conquered the property he took from you back.
Explanation:
Whatever your strategy may have been at this point, either trying to claim that bonus yourself or go after Mustapha Mond which is your target doesnt matter.
I can tell from the looks of it based on you using 2 properties attacking the property that he took from you (Smith) and the lack of a reinforcement to either of those properties on your part that you used a lot of your troops on those 2 properties to take over (Smith).
Long story short being that you left that area an easy bonus to claim with the right dice and all attacks on any properties there is null and void for calling him out on attacking a non target.
The other accused on his first turn did this: William Mac deployed and conquered 2 of your properties.
Explanation:
Based on where he attacked you at and the fact that in a 3 player assassin game you should start off knowing who has who, he came to the conclusion that he needed to hit you there before he was wiped out of that area by Mustapha Mond (his assassin). Which is very very sound strategy.
If he doesnt attack you there now and Mustapha Mond (his assassin) conquers that property that he occupied (Baudrillard) he stands the risk of being cut off and using a lot of troops to get back there to get you later. His actions are accountable and sound.
Round 2
Mustapha Mond attacks you in the 3 areas that you left weak to gain that bonus/hit your target. As I said before its round 2, there is little need for him to worry about protecting you just yet, and with you leaving a bonus an easy claim for him and his target William Mac with a slight edge in the strength category this will be a good thing for both of you.
Its not hard to tell at this point that you have Mustapha Mond as a target, Mustapha Mond has William Mac as target and he has you.
If William Mac is too strong he eliminates you and wins the game but if Mustapha Mond can have enough strength to keep him honest then you have a chance to come out ahead.
There is no collusion here, there is no case for an alliance or multi, you have to realize everyone's strategy is different, and that its not always a big no no to attack a non threat in an assassin game.
I am willing to bet this gets thrown out.
Good Luck with your game.

How long did that explanation take you to type?
Next time you can really just say, "Yeah dude... I agree with the guy above... you're wrong, you fool!"
But thanks for the effort - and good luck on your bet!

I needed a break from studying and enjoyed making your false accusation look dumb.
And I only bet when I can guarantee a victory.
I BET THERE CLEARED !!!

You two need to take a break and stop fighting. Fireside Poet and his team will look at this when they can, and determine the results.
King Sam, he's refering to your use of the word there, which is wrong, you would use "they're" in that sentence. He's trying to be a jerk, ignore it, and let the mods handle it.

Gotcha, sorry its 3 am here and my brain is fried from studying. Grammatical errors are the least things on my mind.
And no worries Kotaro, I wasn't trying to make this an argument between me and him, just pointing out that he may and most likely is wrong in this case, if he cant handle the truth or someone giving their perception of a situation then he shouldn't come out with accusations like this.
I'll be silent in my victory and await the glorious post from lance saying these 2 are cleared.

Re: William Mac & Mustapha Mond [Cleared]
Wow. This is pretty funny. Since I DON'T cheat and am NOT a multi, I don't ever read this forum -- someone had to call my attention to it.
The phrase "the best defense is a good offense" comes to mind. Knowing that maxbandit is coming after me, doesn't it make sense that I should want to prevent him being able to get a bonus that would enable him to attack me more effectively? Not trying to beat him down into nothingness -- just not going to let him get any kind of advantage either, and going to try to take every opportunity to get an advantage myself so that I can attack green more effectively.
In the opening rounds, 3-player assassin frankly isn't all that different from standard play, since everyone knows who's after who immediately. The assassin issue only comes into play in endgame, when you sometimes end up having to protect the very person who's trying to kill you. But in the first few rounds? You try to get bonuses yourself and make sure neither your assassin nor your target get any themselves, i.e., no different from standard game.

Re: William Mac & Mustapha Mond [Cleared]
In a delicious twist of irony, winning this game earned me my bronze achievement in assassin.
