Who has had experience with the game of RISK before joining conquerclub?

I love games where you deploy and kill armies similar to Habro's original version of RISK, i have played many variations and computer versions, including Hasbros version, but this is by far my favorite non-hasbro game where people deploy armies and kill other armies...

one day i was googling sumatra and a link came up with 500 complaints about how sumatra could not attack brunei and i joined when i saw the site...

ok, i have never played risk until i joined this site. Now that i have had some games i really think it is really a fun strategy game.

i used to play at w@w a few years ago(never got premium there, same game and all that but not worth paying money)and played home games too but since i found this site i never played or enjoyed the game so much

big kudos to lack and of course the whole community who enticed me to go premium after only a few days

I used to play with a group of mates many years ago. (More than 15 years ago :shock:

) We used to have a regular RISK night with about six players. The meetings were good fun and we had many great games, until a real life battle broke out and the board and bits went flying! :lol:

We carried on at a different venue for a while but it was never the same again. :cry:

It's been a long time so I reckon I'll be a bit rusty :lol:

Me? Some work buddies came up on it and I got involved. I've played RISK a bunch before, both with and without alcohol. Still haven't figured out which is more fun. I think it requires more testing...

I've been playing RISK since most likely before 95% of the posters on here were born. Started playing in the 70s and I still have my RISK board. It is one of those boards were the pieces are wooden blocks not the plastic ones.

I had been searching desperately for a RISK site and that was one thing that disappointed me. I had been searching sporadically since January last year and didn't find the site until mid-July, and that happened by accident when I was looking at chess sites. I'll blame Google though...

Bin playin Risk since the late 60's....I still have an old board from Waddingtons....before Parker Bros bot them out,,,,then I guess Hasbro bot it from them. Anyway, Ive worn out at least 3 boards (dice wear on the cardboard) and was finally saved from playing solo games (all five colors against my chosen color) by finding CC a week after getting my first computor!.......Praise the Lord......and pass the ammunition!!! :lol:
