thnx for the topic, the maker of that topic stoped to make it but i found something that andy wroted:

----------
I've been in contact with the original cartographer, spiegleprime, and he was enthusastic about having the graphics revamped. The only stipulations are....
No border changing
No name changing
Try to make it feel like an old world/antique parchment...as that was what he said he originally wanted to try to do

So I give you the go ahead, as long as you follow all of those guidelines!

--Andy
------------

well do you think the texture of the yellow continent is an old world/antique liking texture?

The maker didn't stop, he has had a busy few weeks and has been unable to work on the map.
Or at least that is what the situation seems to be, I'd wait a bit just in case, or try and contact Mr. K to discover his intentions. (I doubt he'd quit it, imo)

I am personally not a fan of the current revamp of this map. Id like an alternative.

Should not someone contact the original author of the map before doing a revamp?

There was a NZ map already in development. Might attempt it if they've given up though.

How about let's just call it "Israel" instead of "Israel & Palestinian Territories?"

It's really hard to divide into territories. I tried once, quite a challenge.

Mr. K is still working on it I believe. And he has expressed written consent to work on the map from the original cartographer.

That map just isnt playable, youd have to do a map of the whole region.
