Classic Art problem
I know it was hastily constructed but the territory formerly known as North Africa should be Mies, not Van der Rohe. Mies was his actual surname.

Re: Classic Art problem
That's interesting. So what was his first name? Certainly not Van der Rohe. Fun trivia that I never knew!
Re: Classic Art problem
wikipedia wrote:Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, born Maria Ludwig Michael Mies, was a German architect. He was commonly referred to and addressed by his surname, Mies, by most of his American students and others.
Interesting...

Re: Classic Art problem
yeah, I have to take the blame for that one.
Re: Classic Art problem
soooooo.... as long as we're talking about Classic Art,
might i ask why Frank Lloyd Wright was not included amongst Architecture?
From "The Greatest Architects of the Twentieth Century: Goals, Methods, and Life Cycles"
A survey of textbooks reveals that Le Corbusier was the greatest architect of the twentieth century, followed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The same evidence shows that the greatest architects alive today are Frank Gehry and Renzo Piano.
Although my favorite architect of all time is Timothy L. Pflueger...

yep, that's a change i might advocate for... maybe we lose "van der Rohe" entirely and put in Frank.
Re: Classic Art problem
Since were bringing up the classic map, i might as well post this again:

having actual military leaders would be much better than random art people.

those names would be A LOT better.
after tackling the names all thats left is changing the look and then we have a reasonable map again!

Have you noticed how the play on the classic arts map has dropped off compared to the classic shapes map? Is there a message there?

Yeah - "Classic: Art" should be above "Classic: Shapes" in the alphabet.

Take a look at Prince of the City - that was an attempt at a revamp before I realised some people are very attached to Classic Art.

More that we are unable to accept any submissions that are REVAMPs of the Classic map, not that we are "particularly" attached.

Re: Classic Art problem
Guys you need to realised that Classic Art map whas created in deep secret, and whas finish for 14 hours and nobody have any participiation except 6 people who create these map, that why these map look like now. If these go regular like other map, maybe will look much better graphicaly and with better names. If you try to find Classic Art Topic, then you will have Mission Impossible, because these not exist.
I realised that when i start creating Map Maker Index, and these whas something what its not right to give 6 medals for one map,who realy need to go regular proces and to all people participiate in these development.

You're correct - there isn't a thread - there's a whole forum devoted to it.

In 2008 a crack commando unit escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Forum underground. Today, still wanted by the moderators, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The Star Chamber...

That kinda falls apart in the face of the fact that 3 of the people in the Star Chamber were Foundry mods, 1 has a Special Contribution medal, and the other two serve as stamp lickers here and again.

I never pictured MrBenn as a commando
