Europe Game Map

I thinnk that you should add a Europe game map to the site. What could be better then fighting across the battlefields of Europe?

These are one of the things he'll inevitably get to. But unless you've got a map that you're ready to give him posting here won't change much.

It's like seeing someone marinating a juicy steak and telling them that it'd be awesome if they cooked it. It will be and that's what they intend to do, but right now they're just marinating.

I would like the map of Europe - when i played asia - i didn't have a clue where anything was (China was full of weird sounding places that only a chinaman would of known about)

I cant see there being too many full on chinese playing this game

But strange names are the rule, not contrary. Or do you think a Brazilian knows the localization of USA states? And more: some of them have the names hidden by that ball with numbers, so its a pain look for them.

Luckly, we humans accustom with all (or almost), so, no much problems with brazilian names of the map Im doing after some time... :lol:

A little basis i thought of is maybe a map of great britain maybe you could use the counties as the main areas and there would be
All the continents as wales or SE of england

Maybe instead of making it just europe, you can sorta have a WWI thing happen. i played something like that in my military history class. WWI risk. everyone is a diferent country. player 1 is france, 2 is russia, 3 is italy, 4 is germany, and so on... I thought it was pretty fun...

Hey... I'm working really hard on that Canada map... It takes time. And as for Europe, sure go ahead, make one. If you want something done, don't just say "hey someone should do a europe map", just do it yourself, or stop asking :wink:

I've got a European map that I use for playing Risk on Forums, but it's way, way too big for this site. (At full scale, it's 2048*1536). It's actually a modifed Medieval: Total War map, (Modified to be set in the early 20th century.) It might be able to be scaled down a bit, so if someone wants a look, email me (thedarknesswalker(at)hotmail(dot)com). I probably won't be able to answer till next weekend though - College and all that.

I got so tired of the Europe map thread degenerating into a "Where you representin?" thread that I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I figure attack routes will be pretty obvious, I was thinking Iceland would only connect to Norway, MAYBE Scotland... Other than that everything that's pretty close together in the water you can more or less figure on a route there.

Obviously, I'm far from done. But I thought I'd throw it up here in the forum just to get some preliminary feedback; what borders need changing, this territory should be in that country should I just get rid of the whole russia/middle east bit, this attack route, that one, blah blah blah.

Yea my hist class did the same thing, and Russia does not always win, in fact for one class Germany started a complete take over :shock:
