Re: Greenland [D,GP,GR,FF] - title p19
how about add some ripple to it, so it appears to be reflecting in water?

This map is perfect as far as I'm concerned. Been watching it since it was in new drafts/projects. Quench this shit so I can play on it already!

One thing was bothering me, and I figured out what it was.
With the reflection fanned out like that, it is acting like a shadow would. A reflection dose not distort in that manor. It is a mirror reflection no matter what angle you are viewing it from. A shadow will do that, but not a reflection. Your first attempt at the reflection was the correct one. You could see what a fanned out shadow would look like behind the Greenland text. You could even try using both a reflection and a shadow.

I agree with Porkenbeans
Re: Greenland [D,GP,GR,X] - title p19
It may be late in the process, but I feel your bonuses are often too high, particularly for QEQQATA, which you are saying is going to be +3 for 4 territories with only 2 borders. A lot of the other bonuses, I would think about reducing by one too. They may have lots of borders, but with the -1 reduction for the territories on the ice cap (breaking bonuses from these points would also make it a tougher ordeal) , it makes the map based highly on drop, which I personally find an unattractive quality. Sorry, for the criticism, I just don't think the bonus structure is perfect yet.

The comment on QQata being +3 instead or +2 is part valid
I would argue its balanced against Peary which has 1 less terit, 1 less bonus but is in a more isolated position
If we reduce QQata to +2, Peary is the clearly stronger continent.
The bonuses seem higher than say classic risk, but as you noticed they are all higher.
What I checked is that the small continents are balanced against the smalls and the big against the big.
There is a weak big continent and a strong small continent but I would argue the strong small is Peary which is quick to get, small and well positioned for defence.

I agree w/ Merciless..you don't want a map that allows you to just win because of a good drop or good rolls involving a small bonus. Let's get this map quenched already!!!lol

Then you agree with me? As I'm recommending the reducing of the bonuses, thus giving someone who captures them a less bigger chance..
