Jesus also said, "Tear down this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up" <<< Jesus here was refering to himself (3 day resurection) Who has the power to resurect the dead except God! Yet here Jesus says, "I will raise it in three days!"
A little lesson on the divinity of Christ.
Jesus also said after his miracle of healing that "Your faith has healed you." He didn't say "I healed you."
Think about that for a moment. If the man's faith healed him, then what was Jesus doing? The answer? Nothing.
Jesus wasn't sent here to die for our sins or to redeem mankind or any of that nonsense. Jesus was sent here as an object lesson. It was God's way of telling us "Here is a Man without free will. He will say some important things and then he will die because that's why I sent him down there."
God is the ultimate spokesperson for questioning authority. Think about it. Would you let yourself get nailed to a cross if your Mom or Dad told you to do it?
Jesus was God's tool. Through Him, God was telling Man to stop blindly following and to start thinking for himself. "Or else," God warned, "You'll end up letting yourself get nailed to a cross for simply saying how groovy it would be to be nice to each other for a change."
Both your posts are nothing but trash.I could respond to the ignorance of your posts but will not waste my time.
Jesus said, "Do not throw pearls to be trampled on by swine." and so I won't. Your hatred for God is something you need to deal with and you have exactly one lifetime to do so. If you are going to post nothing but mere blasphemy consider this debate ended.

Oh! So that's why your responding to the post! I thought you were just a retard! But no, it's because you won't waste your time responding to my post.

let me guess, nueclear fision(spell check). well what made that fuision??
let me guess, it just happened. well that makes no sense what-so-ever
The ooze was formed from base amino acids formed when an electrical current (most likely a lightning bolt) was passed through volcanic gases in a liquid medium (most likely water).
Another theory is that life started from bacteria that may have survived a meteor collision.
Just because we aren't completely certain how the whole process started doesn't invalidate all of the evidence. Like how the lack of any physical evidence of God doesn't invalidate His existence.

I don't know if I can agree with that. Free thought isn't always available to us. People have a tendency to do what they are told or wouldn't normally do if their emotions are manipulated. Being given a situation that doesn't have a perceptible alternative also tends to make people act "crazy."
I don't care for debating whether a god exists, I cherish my mortality. Just being a part of this world for a lifetime is enough to sustain me.

I do believe in God btw so you dont need to rant at me jay.
vtmarik is making the better points though.
Some things I believe sience and some things you just have to take on faith.
And if you didnt want to get into this argument why did you start it?
Ranting at you???? What are you talking about? I didn't intend for atheists to start spewing twisted scripture to argue the non-existence of God!
That guy has not a clue of what he's talking about yet tries to come off as a Biblical scholar! An ooze that came from "volcanic gasses"??? So now we are to believe that there is an eternal volcano somewhere in the universe! Lightning??? Give me a break. You can't get something from nothing!
vt is making better points? Oh I musta missed them then...I'll have to re-read his less than stellar arguments.

I didnt say you were ranting at me, you were ranting at vtmarik.
About the volcano, the big bang theory started the earth, the earth was then molten lava, covered with volcano's all over. It was so hot that it couldnt rain without the water instantly evaporating. When the earth got cool enough, there was a rain storm that lasted millions of years, hence the oceans. However there were still volcanic vent under the oceans. The volcanic gases floated to the surface and were struck by lightning forming the first cell.

We aren't athiests just because we don't agree with your mischaracterization of God.

What are you babbling about? We're talking about the origin of the primordial ooze ON EARTH! If you want to talk about universal volcanoes that's fine, but for God's sake don't shove those words into my mouth!

Well, at I least I made some points instead of rambling about some random gibberish.

If I may be so bold as to say so, I noticed that the name of this thread is "Logic dictates that there is a God!". I have read some logical conclusions and some illogical ones. What I have not seen much of, is the logic behind the conlcusions drawn by the participants. I do not think that it is very effective to discredit an argument by calling it "trash", or by labeling each other as "gibbering weirdoes" or "fanatics". I see that many of you have different religious beliefs and your theologies differ. It seems, however, (based on the title of this thread) that the original debate was over the existance of a God. It appears that the methods in which the debate was started were disliked by some of the participants. It does seem to me that one cannot argue much about religion (other than to criticize it) if one does not believe in a divine being. I would like to suggest that the existance of God first be established logically and the evidence for His existance shown, or the evidence for His non-existance discredited by a similar process. If there cannot be agreement as to whether or not there is a God, then surely there cannot be agreement as to who God is.
Until someone can logically account for the gasses that started the big bang....it holds no water. If the universe is void of anything. A vast "black space" how does anything come into existence???
One of the following must be true.
1. Something with the ability to create has always existed (non-God). Perhaps an eternal meteor, eternal "gasses", perhaps an eternal volcano.
or
2. There is a God.
Now the rational mind can see that things don't just pop up out of nothing. So all things came from something. That invalidates big bang, prehistoric ooze and the like. Tis why LOGIC DICTATES there must be a God.
But to those who stll hold on to the hope that the big bang occured or that want to start The federated church of OOZE. More power to ya.
The Big Bang Theory: God spoke..and BANG!...it was.

Wait a minute, who is God? Is that the guy who takes the cereal from the kids? Oh wait, thats the Trix Rabbit, I get them confused because THEY BOTH DONT EXIST!
