The original map has interesting gameplay, but fairly obsolete graphics now.
I've kept the layout and region names the same, and doctored the graphics.

Obviously, this is a fairly rough draft and it is more than welcoming for improvements.
It will also need an XML update, if it goes any further through the foundry, seeing how I've shuffled some of the region circles around and made the image itself a litte bigger.
I'm considering messing an alternate version of this map around to suit the colourblind too.
So tell me what you think to the colours, the legend, or anything else. And please tell me if you think that an Arctic revamp is not necessary!

Re: Arctic Revamp ! (?)
The original map looks flat, and if a revamp was to be done, I'd like to see the sea and land in a more "rounded" map, like really viewing the earth from high up in the clouds.
This can be achieved with better graphics, which you've already done a sterling job opposed to the original, but also with latitude and longtitude lines added in.
So, to answer your question, yes, a re-vamp would do the trick.

eh, i like the arctic map the way it is right now, simple gameplay, looks clean. your version seems too doodle earth-like... not a fan of that especially the font and how the legend depicts the bonuses.
Re: Arctic Revamp ! (?)
the draft looks like it has potential - but i would suggest focusing on a new project. Revamps are hard to come by.

Agreed, folks don't like change around here. There are plenty of good new ideas out there that will make folks happy. When you go changing a map you get stones thrown at your head.
Plus, this would require the consent of the original mapmaker.

OKay, no worries.
Send this away to the dead projects bin then.

This map's style does look like it has potential though.

Good
I'll probably end up recycling the graphics on a different project.

It'll probably have to get a revamp when the icecap melts completely... just bide your time...

I like the cool colours on the revamp. Suits the theme. Looks kinda nice.
