WORLD CUP CONQUER CLUB 2006 [WINNER: TEAM CANADA 1]

Post by Pedronicus »

THE FINAL GAME IS HERE

It's the 9th of June 2006 -

LETS GO!!!!

We have 32 teams of triples organised, we have 8 groups of 4 teams and we play games exactly the same format as in the world cup, with the group scoring being as follows:

Team win with all members still in game: 3 points
Team win with one team member killed: 2 points
Team win with two team members killed: 1 points
Loss: 0 points

Then we go to second round games, quarter finals, semi's and final with winners going through - based on a straight forward win (No penalty shoot outs required).

Here is the link to the site where you can see all team information / Tables - with table numbers linked to the games so you can check on how all the games are going; http://ccwc.collegecrossfire.com/

Here is a link to a world map. If you don't already have a team sorted out, but want to join a team - Please take some time to visit the Conquer Club World Map and stick a pin in the ground to show where you are, and see who is near you.
Here  http://www.frappr.com/conquerclub

This would be something different to put in your signature box - Winner of CC world cup 2006!

:D Good luck!! :D

the feedback looks good so far, my next question is-
Is it able to be done (The group stage bit seems tricky)

I'm no computer expert, could Lack or someone please let us know if this idea is possible?

I think it could be done... and I like the idea.

The group stage could be done easily enough... if done unofficially then all you'd need would be someone to keep score, and also to host any games with all non-premium players.

I'd be up for playing for the USA. Maybe for some of the countries with more people you could divide it into regions so instead of USA1, 2 and 3 you could have East, Middle, and West or something along those lines.

Should teams be doubles or triples?

Could be either, triples for the scoring you mentioned earlier, doubles if you wanted to do 3 points for all players left, 1 point for winning but having someone eliminated, none for a loss. Or we could set a round limit, so if it hasnt been won by that round, its a draw. What say you?

YES!!! Awesome idea... Me and Riyanna are representing Russia! Need one more team member.

We don't live there, but we're Russian Federation citizens.

Ok, now I gotta go talk her into this.

Good idea. I think Canada could have regional teams too, though I think more than half of the Canadian players on this site are from Montreal.

I've had the idea, and the idea seems to of been well received, but unfortunately I'm unable to organise it.

I think what we need is someone with a web page where we can be directed to, where teams can be named and placed into a list of 32 teams (I suppose an excel document would be good for this).

ie

Team 1. - (Players): Pedronicus, Silus, SWAY75. (Country): England (Team Name): England 1

Team 2. -
and so on to Team 32

Then we need a group stage table created with team names entered by a neutral CC member (or you could also put into the above teams your leaderboard positions and add them together to get a mean figure for the team to establish team rankings - as the top 8 ranked footballing nations are kept apart in the group stages)

does this make sense? - and does anyone have their own website where we can do this?

any more ideas would be appreciated

I can stick up a webpage if you want, though you may want someone more neutral to do the brackets, because I want in the tourney.

(I'll do whatever else is necessary later)
