i'm pretty hopeless on this map. u do start with only 1 region in a multi-player game, but 2 each if there are only 2 or 3 players.

If you play with fewer than 4 players, you get 2 ships each. However, yes, that is how it starts.

I am not that great at it. The bonuses are not that high, so often stacking works well, though you do want to get your first "easy" bonuses (the ones close by you). However, staying put too long will hurt you. (real helpful, aren't I ;) )

Best thing is to play a few games, expect to lose, but learn.

Its all about timing - similar to New World and Feudal in that way - although them timing is slightly different.

Basically, anyone has to go through a 6-neutral to get to another opponent. You need to have enough troops to get through the 6 and take a 'base' +3 auto-deploy-ideally.

well from mine experience, main thing what you need is great dices, and then you will never lost a game, this is real strategy for this or for any other maps-if you get bad dices, then only what you can expect its a defeat, and any strategy can not help you. ;)

I would like to start from any 2 out of these 3 territories i.e. Pontus, Romans & Persians. Firstly, take the bonus of +1 army and then secondly, the +2 armies bonus if it's worth the trouble.

Finally, build up your armies on a strategic territory before breaking out of your safety zone to track down the opponent in a 1vs1 standard FoW=Yes game.

Hopefully the dice perform well otherwise, Game Over already.

Initially, don't move too quickly. Just take 1 victory at a time, so you can get cards (if it is a card game). You then get a couple of bonus' armies before having to break out of your region and take on the other player. If you are too quick, you can get hemmed in.

Watch out for any alliance that you form doesn't automatically make the other player stronger. Or too don't keep the alliance too long, so you become an extension of the other player, if you are the weaker player then it ultimately doesn't help you.
