Great Romania

This is a map a designed based on the XIX century Romania map. This is not the actual Romania map of today.

I splitted the map in 8 continents:
- Dobrogea: 4 country's and 2 borders
- Muntenia: 10 country's and 5 borders
- Oltenia: 5 country's and 3 borders
- Banat: 4 country's and 2 borders
- Crisana: 5 country's and 3 borders
- Transilvania: 9 country's and 3 borders
- Moldova: 9 country's and 4 borders
- Basarabia: 9 country's and 3 borders

A special bonus is for Bucuresti for being the capital.

This is the large version of the map, the small version i have to remake it.

the map is great, i can imagine the map playing in 3 too many territoryes, i think you can finish the game in 20 rounds!

I like the idea. We definitely need a Romania map. However some of the coloured text is not legible on the background colours for a start.

i know it needs a lot of work but give me some suggetions. thats why the map goes to the forum first for completing it with ideas from players.

or i could just do what i want with it(but wheres the fun in that?)

Relax man. I gave you a suggestion already, don't ignore it. Start working on the coloured text. It's not legible over some of your backgrounds...

The continent colors burn my eyes! I need shades . I do think it's a good idea and could go somwhere

-Definatly dim the coulers down
-Change the font/border colour, it just doesn't look good
-change the background
-you have a large amount of territories in most of your continents(thay're all asia sized) merge some of your territories
-also, if its based on an old map try giving it that sort of textures, post the origional map so we can see what your working from

Hehe. I know you are Dutch. I am Maltese. it's called Rumanija in Maltese!

1. make a proper colorscheme, not to bright not to dark not to much contrast
2. smoothen the borders
3. search a nice font for the names
4, the flag is disturbing find an alternative from it
5. add some textures so it looks like land=land and water=water

try that first

About graphics, you will need change almost all... Like the mountains, they look like a wooden fence, lol

I prefer, however, talk about playability. I dislike the capitol bonus... lol, will every new country map have it? Plus 60+ countries,... I would remove some. I see you have most continents well constructed, but some less countries would help also to correct a problem: toooo many countries to take to go from a side of the map to the another one. You could create some bigger countries to work like corridors, or create a type of teleport. Plus, isnt the west side too strong?

I'm just expressing my lack of interest in a map of Romania, but that's just me and I'm sure there's plenty of others interested.

agree. I think a map of the austro-hungarian empire, the ottomon empire and such should be created before this kind of map is.

about the background i you have an idea i will take in consideration.

if you want an map of the ottoman empire pls build one yourself. im not turkish and i dont have any ideas about a map about this empire, but i know romania and im making a map of this.

besides that there are alredy maps of ireland, hong kong, canada, brazil, usa and i the foundry there are a lot more maps of country's.

Its not a country a whole bunch of players live in and it doesn't really offer any attractive new feature. Its very similar in size, territory makeup, continents etc. to most of the map on here like Germany and ones in development like France and Iberia.
