Re: Initech VII: Asia & Pacific [20/20]
All game invites have been sent. Good luck to all.
Once a few games complete (should be awhile), I will begin to regularly update the scoreboard in the second post of this thread.

Just saw this, sorry. Will try to remember to invite you next time. They've become relatively popular so I haven't been sending out private invites lately.

Yeah, he deadbeated in the finals of Initech III, too. Unfortunate.
No need for a sub, though--only the group winners advance.
So General Flashman, jricart and Jobiwan are into the Finals. Group 1 and Group 5 still have a few games to decide.

Re: Initech VII: Asia & Pacific [Finals]
Scoreboard updated. Just a reminder that the tiebreaker in this round is the overall map wins for the tournament. RoOakz had 6 wins in the first round, General Flashman had 5 and everyone else had 4. So if there are ties for first, be aware that RoOakz wins them all, General Flashman wins all but the one against RoOakz and ties amongst the other 3 players would result in the second tiebreaker being utilized (fewest rounds for wins).

Re: Initech VII: Asia & Pacific [Finals]
Congratulations to Jobiwan, Champion of Initech VII: Asia & Pacific!
GOLD: [player]Jobiwan[/player]
SILVER: [player]jricart[/player]
BRONZE: [player]RoOkAz[/player]
Jobiwan won a tight final group via the second tiebreaker, just edging out jricart for the tournament championship. Quick 8-round wins on the Soviet Union, Indochina and Greater China maps put Jobiwan out to fast lead with 3 wins. But jricart fought back, earning wins on Oceania, Middle East, and Cairns Coastal. It all came down to the Asia map, where jricart still had a shot to pull out victory. But a convincing win on that map by General Flashman sent the championship to tiebreakers. Since Jobiwan and jricart both had won 4 maps in the first round, the second tiebreaker—fewest rounds to get final round wins—was utilized. Jobiwan’s quick victories proved the difference. So, by the closest of margins, Jobiwan was crowned champion of Initech VII: Asia & Pacific.
Jobiwan concluded 55-game, 2-round, 11-map tournament with the following statistics: 22 games played, 7 map wins. The complete stats for the Final Group participants:
1. Jobiwan: 22 games, 7 wins
2. jricart: 22 games, 7 wins
3. RoOkAz: 22 games, 9 wins
4. General Flashman: 22 games, 7 wins
5. xabigerrard: 22 games, 5 wins
