The Texaco comment had me hoping a few USA questions would have been burned off early. The Caltex comment had me looking as I had no clue what it actually was. That apparently was key. I wasn't sure if it was too obvious of a clue. If you happened across this link from their website, it could have been found quite quickly.

I've been driving around Albany for 4 hours now. Something about the angle of the sun, and the way the trees looked, that helped.

I downloaded a Caltex location listing and looked at every gas station in Western Australia. Only after 2 days and 400+ gas stations did I realize it wasn't a gas station but a refinery.
