Are the conference tourneys going to be run in the same format that the real ones are ran?

Big East

8-4-4 for example with worst 8 seeds playing on day one
The winners play the next 4 worst seeds with those winners playing the best 4 seeds.

That is how is is being done this year.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.

Yes. All conference tourneys will be done with the same format as the real conferences. For example, like you say, the top four seeds in the Big East Tournament get TWO byes; also, the Ivy doesn't have a tournament. Most tournaments are simple single-elimination brackets.

The only change to the true tournaments will be the "home court" - all games will be "hosted" by the higher seed rather than going to neutral courts for the finals, as some conferences do. The way I see it, if you've won your conference's regular season, you've earned this right.

Played as Northwestern in 2008-09, 2009-10, and 2010-11 College Hoops Tourneys.

UVM is hoping it's saved all its positive mojo for the conference tourney, as they're going to need it to run the table in the AE.

Game 6595805

You know how UConn and Syracuse went six overtimes? That's pretty much what this was. #23 George Mason defeats Northeastern on Senior Night and clinches top overall seed in the CAA. Regular season champions. w00tah.

Sorry guys, just got back from a family vacation in San Diego. I'm going to get caught up with this tournament tonight - not sure if I'll get the RPI out, but I'll take care of the next batch and the forfeits from the weekend.
