Stop flip the board double-turning
The flip the board feature is great for the integrity of the game, it has already let me avoid two unfair losses, but allowing players to make two or more consecutive flips until they get a winning drop is a license for farming:
Thanks for the great new feature which makes the game much more realistic – I used to play this move a lot when I was a kid – in rl it is best played from the bottom right hand corner against stacks on Indonesia.
BUT you need to take out a loophole:
In Game 6661786 I had been losing from round 1, all because of dice & drop (these are the usual reasons I lose, though I don’t lose often). The new feature arrived in time for me to re-balance the game just before Bogangod made his final run. I flipped the board, got a much fairer drop (about 90 armies & 15 terrs up), played my turn & left my dubs partner with a 32-stack to take out Bogangod’s single & win the game. All in the spirit of the rules. I wasn’t too surprised when Bogangod flipped too (I did think it was a bit cheeky as he should have realised he was losing to the better player at this point but I would have been happy to foe and move on). I was pretty satisfied that after Bogangod’’s flip my team was still on top – a win in a couple of turns I reckoned. BUT THEN Bogangod FLIPPED AGAIN right away, before he had played. This time he got a brilliant drop and swept the board. !!!!???!!!!
That is 19 points I lost, AND a point in the tourney we were playing. You have to admit this was a pretty dubious tactic by my opponents. Totally against the integrity of the game that this feature was brought in to support.
Not saying anything against Bogangod personally here, because if you allow loopholes in the rules there will always be people willing to abuse them, regardless of what sort of haircut they have. But what I see coming is farming on a massive scale. OK, there will be players like me who just flip once for fairness, but the flipping double-turners get a totally unfair advantage which will take a lot of heartless talent-free players to the top of the scoreboard. How many Conquerors will we get now who have set up 100s of games against noobs & double-flipped their way to victory. This is a license for flipping double-turners to abuse the rest of us.
It’s a simple fix: up the $ amount for a second flip to $50 (and a third flip to $75 etc) so that only the more respectable players like me can afford it.

Re: Stop flip the board double-turning
Personally, I would prefer it if flip the board was a game option like freestyle etc because sometimes the game will be fair and someone who's loosing because they have poor strategy will do as laughingcavalier said above and keep flipping till they have the advantage regardless of what the cost is. which essentially means the game will no longer be a strategy game it will simply be luck. Therefore players should have the choice as to whether they want to play a game with this added luck element in it. I'm not against flip the board because I do recognise the need and advantages of it, just might be nice to have the choice.
Re: Stop flip the board double-turning
I think it should have been implemented more like ebay... bid on flipping board....highest bidder gets to choose
CC would be sporting a brand new server in a month and 20 new options after that

This is seriously a cause of concern. I wholeheartedly support this, but I would appreciate if they fixed the payment bug first (CC is losing lots of potential servers because of that). Lackattack please urgently look at the bug I reported.

Thanks for pointing out this loophole, laughingcavalier. I hadn't realized that Flip the Board could be abused against the spirit of the game.
I will begin work immediately on increasing the price for flipping double-turners!
