New clan members wanted to talk to CC Dispatch
Have you recently joined a clan? Or thinking of joining one? Or know someone who has recently joined your clan? I'm writing an article on joining a clan for the CC Dispatch and would like to talk to you.
Please get in touch.

Hit [player]Crash_22[/player] up for an interview. He has been on CC for ages and has recently joined a clan. Would be another perspective. What makes an established player that hasn't been in a clan join one?

Must be the sweet use of that avatar.
I'm interested in hearing that one, especially based on recent discussions with admin around clans and their impact.

Could be? Accept no imitations. Even ones with their chemical makeup plastered across their avatar in %'s.
Seriously we can probably all think of at least 6or7 very good players that have never joined a clan, or expressed interest in doing so. Are they - Lone wolves? Do they view clans as the online equivalent of a frat house? Have they never had a good enough offer? Do they think it will take up to much time? Are they scared it might restrict the games they can play? Most of those I can think of do play team games with regular partners so they can't be to antisocial. I for one would be very interested in others thoughts on this.
Suggestion for another Dispatch topic - Why Clans Fail/Implode/Wither. Not to be a piece on most successful long lived clans etc. More an investigation into why some clans hang around for a wee while then just disband. Why others have had pretty decent stats, and history then just fade into the wilderness. Is it all down to personalities? Leadership/Lack of it? As a reformed clan slut, this been clan number 3, I'm happy where I am, not so much because of the games that I play with clan mates, but friendship. I know some clans are not that friendly, and much more business like. Ok, what maps, what settings, you must be in X games etc. That could be a successful approach for competitiveness but does it guarantee longevity?

Think it is a combination of all those things you mentioned, along with the game types that they are good at being a focus. Several of the top players on the leaderboard, especially the freemiums, are experts on 8 player escalating games, and there really isnt a place for that in the clan setting (at least not that can be conceived yet...). The time factor is also a big one, i know alot of players that take their turns and get off as soon as possible, and i applaud them for having this thing called a "life" which i am still in search of...

In terms of clans failing/disbanding, I'd be interested in what causes a clan to split. With the O&H and FOED split, I think of the LoW split, the LOTZ split, Project Firestorm being created from a person leaving...I personally think clan size is major factor, but would be interested in learning about the other factors.

The BpB haven't had any new members since the DRS acquisition. There simply isn't anyone worthy or sexy enough to join us.

nothing wrong with a little bit of man on dog love.
