Are those who can affort this new membership and can therefore play amny more games destined to rule over those who can't in the Scoreboard?
Since rankings are based on score, not number of games, I don't see this necesarilly being a problem on the scoreboard. If you're talking about rank, then yes, the premium members will be shooting up in rank, but rank doesn't really mean squat.

Personally I think that Rank with the military ranking should be based on the score..... number of games played should be independant..... seems to make more sense that way to me...... I mean really would you rather have a guy who won all 5 wars he fought in lead your army or would you have someone that fought in 30 and lost all of them leading your army....
Just a thought
Hey, is there a way you could to a month to month sponsorship, because I'm considering sponsoring, but I'm not too sure if I'm going to be playing 1 year down the line. I wouldn't mind pay a little more if that's a problem. Maybe have a choice between a yearly sponsorship for $20 and a monthly sponsorship for like $3 (over a course of a year that'd come out to $36)
Aye, having multiple prices is Good Business. I'd make it $2.50 though.

In the military, your promotions are based on the time spend in the Forces(number of games played) & on your efficiency (score). The same basis is used on CC, so I really don't see why Lack should change anything about that...
Elebdae out.

Yea I'm planning on becoming a member by tuesday. Your site has grown very fast very quick and I'm advertising it in my sig at every other forum I go to. But are you the only staff member? If so good job. Thats alot of work but this is really nice. I cant wait to play more than 4 games at a time.
I AM TEH RUST
As far as Lack telling how many premiums there are, I was thinking immediately that it would be nice to know. That's why I just read through this whole topic. I do find it encouraging to first hear success stories before investing, which I have yet to do (I'm broke). If it was possible to view who all became premium, it would be accessible information still because we could just count up the premium members if we really cared to do so.
With the ratings system, I think it's good the way it is. Premium members will have their ranks shooting up, but guess what, those who aren't premium can still join their games and get more points for beating them, making everyone get shots at growing in rank.
I like the way the score/games system works, because it prevents people from cheating the system by doing something called "point stacking" in many other online turn-based games.
I like what you've done here, Lack, and I think it's cool that you take the time to listen to what we have to say, as well. Thanks for a great game. I have some ideas that I'll throw on the other board, we'll see what you think.
