Skip Game

Post by lackattack »

Skip Game

Ever experience a situation where it's your turn but you'd rather not begin the turn right away? Perhaps you want to discuss strategy with a teammate, or meditate before gearing up for that important move. Wouldn't it be nice if you could easily skip to the next game?

Now you can thanks to the new skip game feature, as suggested by Frop. A "skip game" link appears next to the Begin Turn button, and you can take only the turns you want to without having to return to the My Games page 8-)

API Improvements

We've enhanced the Conquer Club API to take multiple values for many options when searching for games. Hopefully this flexibility will help community authors develop more power and efficient tools for you to use!

I like it. It decrease some of the headaches we all have when we want to play a particular turn last. But in the end...we can't keep skipping forever... :D

Great Idea frop. I have been doing this a long time, but never thought of adding it to the suggestions list. Thanks for this update lack.

I've noticed that this appears when you only have one game available to take turns... other than that it looks like a good update ;-)

I got all excited then, thinking it was going to let me automatically ignore games where I know 100% I've lost, but was cunningly named to avoid the howls of the Anti-Surrender Lobby!

Despite not solving that vintage ongoing issue, it would appear to be moderately useful :)

Very cool. Thanks.

Now if only we would not be forced to play with someone who joined a game that an invitee did not accept an invitation for (i.e. squatting) ... I have someone who joined the team and now is immediately missing his first turn in one right now.

I thought the same thing when I saw the headline, but was anything but excited about it! This update is much better than that would have been ;-)

Extremely useful for awaiting feedback on team games. No more [End Turn]>>[Jump to Next Game]>>(aw crap)>>[My Games]>>[Enter Game]. It's amazing how many times I would do that in one sitting.

i could try it, but how does it work.. i dont want to skip turns if i let my opponant win with it, or let him wait longer

The skip just removes it from that set of games, once you enter my games screen again, it resets. Once you go through all your games, skipped included, it will take you to the my games page.

This is very nice for waiting for team mates to chat, and not having to wait for more pages to load.
