I just came back and I still consider CC fun. I can't say I've had a lot of experience with the new dice system but I can feel for you when it seems you lose 7 for 1. I personally didn't have a lot of luck with the first dice, but I can notice a slight difference in difficulty of capturing things. Fortune favors the bold, the dice do not, so plan accordingly for a bad campaign or Murphy's Law will be hovering over you like a rain cloud.

It's the people that make a game and community fun so if it's been getting dull for you then why not demand more activity from the staff and get more involved with the community if you feel you can do better? Staff that aren't doing their jobs then they need to be removed and their spots given away to someone more deserving/respectable and repeat the process to keep new young blood flowing in and keeping things interesting. Volunteer for something to do to enrich the community even if you don't get a banhammer or any special perks every little bit helps and who knows, maybe one day you'll have enough authority or respect to actually influence major decisions on this site for the benefit of everyone. One last thing is for those that play over 100 games I can probably tell why you've grown bored of this faster than anyone is because things over time get boring and if you spread it out instead of charging straight in and going full pace you'll eventually tire out while someone that keeps his pace will be more content.

There's a few things to chew on for you. ;)

CONQUER CLUB IS TOTAL BULLSHIT. THEY SAY THE DICE ARE RANDOM. BOLLOCKS, THERE IS NOTHING RANDOM TO IT. THE GAME IS DECIDED BEFORE YOU EVEN TAKE YOUR FIRST TURN, JUST DO THE AUTO ASSAULT ON A NEW GAME AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN. THE ODDS ARE JUST TOTALLY STACKED AGAINST YOU. NO WAY ON THIS EARTH CAN YOU LOSE 17 TO 2. TRY IT GET SOME DICE, IT JUST WOULDNT HAPPEN

AS FOR FUN, NO ITS COMPLETE BOLLOCKS. ONLY SUCKERS THINK ITS ALL RANDOM

I too use to have 100+ active games but then I realized that I like my life outside CC also. :D Not that CC isn't fun, its just that life outside of it is better.

I find that playing random maps is a lot of fun. Keeps things "fresh", in the same way as your playing new maps does. You might give that a shot, as well.

For me, the thing that makes it the most fun is in organizing and playing in tournaments. That's where it's at, as far as I'm concerned.

Something similar happened to me too. How is it even possible? The odds of rolling 6s are 1/6. If you roll 17 times, you should definitely get more 6s than the opponent.

Getting more 6s than the opponent is only just barely relevant, to be honest.

This helps to make for a fun CC experience. Makes it believable too.

Fair enough. On a real board game though, a player with a large army should definitely defeat an army of 3 no doubt.

I've defeated an 11 with only 1 troop before on the game board :-s And I have in fact lost quite a few xv1 rolls. So no, it is not "no doubt".

Odonxtc, I don't really get what you're saying. Are you saying that CC should not have a luck factor?

If you want a game with no luck involved, go play chess...

I play chess as well :P

I never denied the luck factor. I don't get much luck in risk hence my arguing.

I've done that before. So happy afterwards if it works.
