This is a Tournament Players Association (TPA) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the TPA scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.
Get your triples team together for a journey through the history of CC.
This week's TPA event will be a simple, bracketed, single elimination triples event. Each matchup will be the best of 3. It will take place on the CC maps that include years in their titles: Flanders 1302, France 1789, Orient Express 1883, South Africa 1885, Europe 1914, Transsib 1914, and Berlin 1961.
[spoiler=Signing Up]You may sign up by posting to this thread, either with a team or as a single.
If you sign up with a team, please provide a team name.
If you sign up as a single, your team will be determined at the beginning of the tournament via random.org. If a non-multiple of 3 sign up, the final one or two to sign up will be placed on a reserve list. (For example, if 8 singles sign up, the first 6 will be paired up on random.org, and the final 2 will be reserves.)
I will allow all signups until 8 PM EST on March 14. Freemiums are welcome, but you must keep three slots free for the duration of the tournament.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Maps]I'm assuming this tournament will be either a 5-round (17-32 teams) or 6-round (33-64 teams) event.
If it's a 5-round tournament, the maps that will be used are:
Round 1: Flanders 1302
Round 2: France 1789
Round 3: Orient Express 1883
Round 4: South Africa 1885
Round 5: One game each on Europe 1914, Transsib 1914, and Berlin 1961
If it's a 6-round tournament, the maps will be:
Round 1: Flanders 1302
Round 2: France 1789
Round 3: Orient Express 1883
Round 4: South Africa 1885
Round 5: Europe 1914
Round 6: One game on Transsib 1914, one game on Berlin 1961, and one game on a previous map (using random.org). If a suitable new map comes out of the foundry before then, it will be used for the third game.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Seeding]If there are byes to be given out at the beginning of the tournament, the teams with the highest combined rankings will get them. Other than that, the tournament bracket will be determined randomly.[/spoiler]
