Registration has fully closed; teams can no longer be edited.
This is a Large Team tournament, with a lot of games for everyone. Teams with between 8 and 20 players will be accepted; however it is highly recommended that you have at least 12 players on your team.
EDIT: This tournament is now fully open to individual sign-ups. See the end of this post for more details.
EDIT: There will be 3 General Achievement Medals available. See "Prizes" below for more details.
Players MUST be premium, and have at least 97% attendance.
This tournament lends itself well to clans, so invite your clan-mates to form a team, but it is not exclusively for clans; all premium teams are welcome. If you’re not in a clan and would like to play, why not join forces with another quads team?
The tournament will follow the format of each of the events of the London 2012 Olympic Games, with some inspiration from the Beijing Olympics for events where full details are not yet available.
The winning team will be the team which has earned the most Gold Medals at the end of the Games. In the case of a tie, Silver Medals will be taken into account, then Bronze Medals.

Each member of the winning team will earn a Tournament Achievement Medal.
There will also be 3 General Achievement medals available:
- 1 for the player who contributed* the most Gold Medals to their team (regardless of whether or not their team wins the tournament)**
- 1 for the winner of the Men's Marathon (Athletics) - this is the event which will have the most competitors
- 1 for the winner of the Men's Decathlon (Athletics) - in real life the winner of this event is often named "World's Greatest Athlete"
* This will not always be a whole number; for example a member of a winning Quads team will have contributed 0.25 Gold Medals
** The player and team must remain in the tournament until it finishes in order to win the medal. In the case of a tie, the most Silver Medals will be taken into account, followed by the most Bronze Medals.

All games will be Automatic, Escalating and Chained.
Only two of the Shooting events involve Freestyle games; all other games will be Sequential.
Individual events will be Standard, and team events such as Football and Hockey will be Doubles, Triples or Quadruples. There will be no Terminator or Assassin games.
Events marked as Men’s will have Fog; events marked as Women’s will have No Fog. Mixed events will also have No Fog.
Teams should nominate a Team Captain and a 2nd in Command. All communications between myself and the team will go through the Team Captain, and should the Team Captain be unavailable (e.g. on vacation) any communications will be sent to the 2nd in Command.
Teams that are from one clan will find it useful to have a thread in their private clan forum to discuss who will play each event.
If a member of your team drops out or becomes freemium, it will be up to you to find a replacement, or share the games between the rest of the team. If the team drops below 8 members and you do not find a replacement player, be prepared to have another player added to your team as a result of a request by me in the Reserves Thread (in the Create/Join sub-forum).
Once a player drops out of the team and is replaced, the player cannot come back to the tournament. I will keep track of who has already played and dropped out of the tournament.
Unlike some of my other tournaments, I will not fill in for any team. If a player drops out mid-event, their upcoming games in that event will be forfeited.

A record will be taken of all players’ scores when registration closes. These will be the scores used to seed players and teams (most events are seeded). As the tournament will be long, these scores may be updated at some point. However, this will not be done as a result of players’ requests; it will be done randomly to ensure impartiality.

The tournament will be broken down into “Days”, which correspond to the format of the real Olympic Games. Before each “Day” begins, I will send a request form to all Team Captains, asking for names of players for each event.
All teams must enter at least 1 player (or 1 team in a team event) for each event; the maximum entries will be outlined in the request form. It is not guaranteed that all of your nominated players will get to partake in the event; when an event is over-subscribed, only the highest ranked players will get to take part.
If an event is under-subscribed, teams who have sent in the fewest players will be asked to assign an extra player to the event.
All games will be sent out using the invite method. If a player does not join a game within 3 invitations (unless they have alerted me that they will be away beforehand) the player will forfeit their place in the event. If a player does not show up for a team game, the team will have 48 hours to find a replacement before the team forfeits the game.
