Finished games

Post by natty dread »

For each mapmaker, counting all maps the mapmaker has been involved in, either as gameplay or graphics developer. Beta maps are counted.

I'm only looking to list currently active mapmakers (active in the foundry, not necessarily making maps right now).

As of 13.4.2011:

Evil DIMwit: 574818 with 4 maps (566690 of which are on doodle earth)
MrBenn: 73144 with 7 maps
Kabanellas: 26056 with 5 maps
Tisha: 23855 with 4 maps
thenobodies80: 22294 with 4 maps
Industrial Helix: 15236 with 4 maps
Dolomite13: 14021 with 2 maps
natty_dread: 10206 with 6 maps
Redbaron0: 10004 with 1 map
isaiah40: 9678 with 3 maps
Tacktix: 7359 with 1 map
shakeycat: 7344 with 2 maps
The Bison King: 4656 with 2 maps

(to be continued...)

So, you're measuring how much people play the maps they create?

Yeah, I'm a little confused as to what your numbers are supposed to be telling us.

Okay, so it's a measure of the success of a mapmaker. Should be interesting. (I LOL'd at the doodle earth stat.)

Yeah. I'll continue adding to the list, but if anyone wants to help with this and post stats of mapmakers, feel free. Only finished games count, and only maps that the mapmaker has received (or will receive) a medal from. Beta maps are counted.

Because otherwise the list would be huge, if we'd count every person who's ever made a map at CC there'd be over 80 people. Limiting it to current mapmakers fixes that, and it makes for a more interesting list - who wants to know the stats of some guys who nobody has seen around here for years?

If you really want to compare sizes, you should do an average.

It might be interesting to see how older maps stand the test of time. Do new maps push them out of the way, either temporarily or permanently? How much does interest in a map vary over time?

That's nice. I think you should also include non active mapmakers.

If anyone wants to compile a list of finished games for all of the 80-something non-active mapmakers... be my guest and post them here, I myself don't have the time...
