The Royal Wedding: Will you be watching?

Will you?
Important Tournament Notice

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

Planned A Jazz rehearsal to get out of it. Thank God.

I did get invited to a royal effigy burning but thinking am going to give that a miss too. Probably watch a bit of it on TV if it's a slow day but hardly going to be engaged by the whole affair, which I couldn't give a monkeys about.

I'll record it on my DVR and then watch it at a reasonable hour, possibly while wearing my tiara.

DOWN WITH THE ROYAL FAMILY

anyway, I don't see why anyone gives a shit. You guys realize that you praise a group of people only because they're in a family? I don't fucking get that. Monarchs do nothing, yet they're praised like gods.

Well, doing nothing IS a step up from what politicians normally do, you've got to give them that.

I'm not British, but my country is part of the commonwealth and I'll probably just watch some of the highlights afterward.

Oh man, I'm so excited to watch.

I'm really glad so many people are interested.

I really like it when the countdown gets close, and then there is a 'whoosh....explosion....thrust.'

Wait, we're talking about the Space Shuttle Endeavor's final mission launch tomorrow, before it gets retired, right?

I just went down there as it's 10 minutes walk from where I live and it's absolutely crazy out there right now, lots of people in random costumes, lots of people camping out, massive media coverage, waited around for a bit as apparently the Queen was going to drive by back from her meal but then we got told she took the back entrance into Buckingham Palace.. bah.

Why don't you like the space shuttle jones?

I think it's going to be put on hold due to WX.

I'd get into the space shuttle, with a one-way ticket, without hesitation.
However, if they offered me a seat at the top table for the wedding, I'd say "no".
Unless they wanted me to do a comedy gig.
I don't think they'd like it.

Wil I watch it? Definitely not live. Probably will wind up seeing replays, since apparently they will be on.. and on.. and on for the next day or so.
I did watch the last one as a point in history. Somehow.. people are not talking about that any more.

If there is one thing that sets the "new royals" apart from the old, I believe the invite to teh pub owner, various other non-official folks (and the extreme attention given all those folks by the press) pretty much sums it up.
