Atheism doesn't classify those who try to disprove some deity--that's the hardcore atheists' job. Atheists just don't believe that deities exist.

Thank the square for admitting it's a rectangle. Apatheist is a portmanteau of apathy and atheiem/theism. While you may be TECHNICALLY correct, they're different. We call squares squares, not rectangles.

Sorry rds, but don't harm the name of apatheists any further. Apatheism isn't a neutral atheist (or "like" one, anyway). It is a complete and utter "I don't give a shit", "I don't care if there is a god/gods/FSM/Pink Unicorn", etc.

I also said "god/gods" right before it, so I'm not really sure where you're going with this. And yes, I'm responding to your post despite you saying to dismiss it because you're too tired.
htf did this turn into another "what is atheism" thread? we already had this discussion, atheists like to use one definition of atheism, and people who use dictionaries like to use a different definition.
