What do you do for a living?

Post by boogiesadda »

I have gotten to wondering what do we all do for a living? I expect some BS answers but some honesty would be nice

I myself am in the Infection Control Business with a worldwide company. We run the largest group of Medical Waste treatment and transfer facilities in the world.

I run a small family construction business. We've done concrete, carpentry, roofing, currently we're mostly involved in vinyl siding, installing windows and doors.

I work as a cantor and organist for 3 Catholic churches, sing occasionally for a Jewish synagogue when extra singers are needed, sing and/or play for weddings(not the receptions) and funerals, and compose music. I also study Music Composition at Loyola University New Orleans.

I'm a graduate student. I read 2000 pages of monographs a week, I write papers that'll be read by a couple of dozen (at most) like-minded researchers, I attempt to teach college students Spanish, and your tax dollars pay for my booze. Thanks!

I work for a consultancy firm advising rich capitalist firms on how to save money by shafting their workers. Huzzah!

I'm billing my current clients for the time required to type this, and I can't remember what it feels like to have a soul.
