Color Coding Game log

Post by vodean »

Concise description:
  • color coding game log

Specifics/Details:
  • "vodean deployed 4 troops on Yer Village" if I own it
  • "vodean deployed 4 troops on Yer Village" If my teammate owns it
  • includes an on/off switch so that players who do not need/want it do not have to have it

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • will make log-reading easier, especially in team games

Ehh...I'd have to really test this to say if I'd like it or not. I feel like all of the coloring would make the log look hectic and busy.

I agree with RDS... maybe as an option? As I can see some players loving it and some hating it, ei. side stats and color codes on the map

Maybe this could be a Tools & Enhancements thing?

A few points:
  1. This does not seem like it would be hard to implement in the site. :)
  2. I doubt that it will likely become a priority. :(
  3. (fast posted by Victor) From my understanding of Greasemonkey scripts (which is limited), this should be quite easy for an experienced script monkey. :geek: I hope someday to have the skills to implement something like this. 8-)

it seems like this is a simple thing that people tend to agree with... so why not?

Because lack has bigger things on his agenda. So you're suggestion would be QUITE low on priority.

Perhaps this should be moved to Tools Suggestions and Bugs, or a new topic on the same subject started there.
