Who's the worst leader now
Since Bush is no longer president. More options to choose from as well.
For me it was a tough decision between al-Assad of Syria and Papoulias of Greece, but in the end I went for al-Assad for being outright repressive and interfering with the Lebanese.

Chavez hands down
-------and why is there such a distinction between the two guys from Russia? Is this some sort of conspiracy where you believe Putin is controlling everything and Medvedev is his puppet? At least you included that assclown from Japan who screwed his people over with the nuclear disaster cleanup and temporary coverup.

Worst in terms of what?
For example, Kim Jong-il does a great job in sticking to Marxist economics!

Re: Who's the worst leader now
Judging the worst leader when they are in office is almost impossible. Except in extreme cases (and a few of those you mentioned are likely in that exception group), Its usually only after a leader leaves office that the true impact is seen.
Even so, its hard to say which of the "baddies" is really the worst.
... and, for the record, I would not say Bush was the worst leader when he was in office. A Bad US president, but not worst in the world by any stretch. Kim Joeng was definitely worse... so was Saddam, for that matter.

Worst in your opinion according to the terms that you set in judging whether someone is a good or bad leader. This whole place is people giving subjective opinions so just offer why you think which one is the worst and why.

I chose Al-Assad, although he doesn't really control Syria, but that makes him even worse IMO.

Australia? I admit I don't know anything about the guy...but I would have considered that a good thing? Who voted for him, and why?

I couldn't satisfy everyone on the poll or the situations involved. Russian political power is hard to define right now. One thing is for sure, Putin could defeat Medvedev in a tussle. I think he is a black belt in judo or some other style of fighting.
Re: Who's the worst leader now
Obama, a worse leader than Gadaffi? Some seriously skewed thinking going on here. Hell, what do I know? I voted for David Cameron.

Re: Who's the worst leader now
I almost voted for Harper, since he is the worst for me (I don't like a lot of his policies, and he is the leader of the country in which I reside), but in the end, he's probably in the top 5 best leaders on that list.

This was why I didn't vote for Kim, he clearly controls his country, maybe more than anybody on the list!

Gaddafi is just lucky to be alive if Sarkozy wasn't french he'd have killed the bugger and got bots on the ground

I hope those who vote Obama, Cameron or anyone of that sort experience a couple of weeks in Syria or Morocco to see what a "bad leader" really means.

No kidding, that's just as wacko as the people who voted for Bush in that older poll. Big difference between not liking a domestic policy as opposed to outright suppression of freedoms and liberties.
Voted for Putin despite AOG's attempts to confuse the issue (jk)

I did not vote for President Obama (I voted for Greece baby!), but I would be willing to bet the United States under President Obama has killed more people than any of the other leaders' countries have.

I don't personally believe that's a legitimate criteria for "worst leader" when taken as a single data point.

Re: Who's the worst leader now
What is worse than spending and borrowing so much money that your country is threatened with defaulting on it's debt?

7 trillion dollars of debt in just 2 years? holy fucking shit! And to think I was out in the streets protesting Bush's record setting deficits!

Deploying military forces to massacre democratic protesters in order to prolong a dynastic reign?
Or, maybe you know, ordering your troops to rape women who protest.
But yeah, Obama is probably worse, apparently.

even though that crime is far harsher, you have to admit it affects a small number of people.
Sinking a country will screw everyone in it, and if America goes bankrupt I guarantee that ripple will be felt the world over and the crime rate will skyrocket and far more people will be massacred by even more governments, including starvation and freezing to death etc. Gotta consider the scenario the "another great depression" unprovable negative Obama keeps scaring us with. Going bankrupt will do that.
