FF 6.0 Beta and GM 0.9.6

Post by Frop »

I've just installed the Firefox 6.0 Beta as FF5 was kind enough to remind me of its availability. Scripts like BOB and Saved Searches seem to be working just fine at first glance, but right now I can't view/enable/disable my scripts through Tools -> Add-ons -> User Scripts. It simply doesn't show any entries, so for the time being I wouldn't recommend updating to FF6.

I will check if reinstalling GM 0.9.6 resolves this issue.

yep, greasemonkey-issue, will probably be fixed in GM 0.9.7: https://github.com/arantius/greasemonke ... fb33ef3ff2

To be honest, with the current release-speed of FF, I'm not really trying to install the latest versions any more.

Yes, I installed without thinking and now 6.0 has shut everything down. I will try to get back to 5.0 if I can.

I have been hanging well back, here at FIrefox 3.6.18. Is it safe to move forward to Firefox 5? (I do recall that FF 4 was a problem for a lot of scripts.)

FF5 works fine if you follow chip's guide to enabling "incompatible" add-ons.

5 is fine, 6 has problems still (as is expected in Beta)

FF6 went stable yesterday, so hopefully that isn't a problem any more (though I haven't tested that).

I have FF5 and the latest Gm lately I been having a problem, when I try to send a PM to player in a game I am playing or recently finished. a Gm error box will appear in the middle of my screen saying " error unable to retrieve game history" and then the box wont disappear after I click o.k. I even try to click the red box in the upper right hand corner it still will just stay there. the only way to get rid of it is to completely close FF. sometime it just happens out of the blue like when I move from one game to the next.

What are all the add-ons you are using (in the order that they appear in the Greasemonkey menu)? What did you click just prior to the appearance of the error box?

I am using CC BOB,Conquer stats, CC map ranking GL, either a persons name to see their wall or to pm from friends list, or sometimes out of the blue when I am just reading forum posts

It would seem that ConquerStats is having the problem when you go a player's profile page (wall). Does this happen for every wall you visit, or only for certain players, or ...?
