ie. if i play 3 games this round and lose all 3 then there would be 3 players credited with eliminating me. any loses i suffered prior to this round are irrelevant. a point/notch/mark, whatever goes only to those who defeated you in your final round. the player who rakes up the most of these (the person responsible for eliminating the most) gets a GA.

all GA Medals were finalized when the tourney began but thanks for the input

Onward to round 10 by my traditional 2 loss, 1 win method. Oh well, whatever works.

Game 9619074

My opponent Rescator was one turn from winning this game when he deadbeated his turns. I assume something happened to him to cause this and as such, if it's within the rules of the tourney, I'd like to request that the game be considered won by him for the purposes of the tournament. He was a great opponent and it really sucks to see him deadbeat the game one turn away from winning.

On another note, if it helps keep track of things better, I won Game 9617370 and hence will be going onto the next round.

Thanks!

No need, but I want to ;-). Fortunately you made short work of me, Duka, so Im in my 3rd game.-

As a bit of a surprise to me, the first game that I did win, my opponent missed turn one and found it impossible to return from that, though he did try. My 3rd game, my opponent so far missed his 2 first turns and is now counting down the 3rd. - I figured there would be very little of this left by now, as the people left seem likely to be the active with at least a bit of talent.

How many others are "lucky" (its always the interesting maps ;-)) enough to come across opponents who miss out on their chances due to missing turns? Is it perchance because stamina is a vital part of the tourney after all?

I dont suppose I can sign up as an opponent against people that need matching up at the end of the round? ;-)

Well, you won one of them so you're through to the next round. No need to join a third if you already have a victory.

For what's its worth, just incase he doesn't make it to the thread, I got a message from Rescator letting me know he fell ill and was in the hospital for a few days, hence the missed turns.

Again, if at all possible given the circumstances, it'd be nice if he could be allowed to continue in the tournament.

Thanks!

or at least give him another 3 chances in round 9 to achieve a win, if he was kicked from his games in all round 9 games.

I will review the game and take a look at all his games and make a decision. Sounds like he would have the win so I may just advance him if the game is even needed

So far all is going well ... I am guessing this round will be winding down ...

When the new list of players is posted ... any chance for it to be sorted again ... loll

I just checked the list from the 1st page and it starts and then gets to z .. then starts over again several times .. I did not even find myself on the list ... to make sure I was there I copied it to excel and sorted ...

Yep I found myself .. not sure where I might have been wandering though ...

I just would let you know he definitely had a bad private time. Those kind of experience where you definitely need friendship around. So he will be very touched by those messages and he deserves. Many thanks (in case you did not guess, I am one of his friend ).

Thank you Highlander. I can guarentee that he would have won in the next turn. It was Das Schlobb and it had been 5-6 turns since I was deploying more than 3. He was just finishing taking the objectives when he deadbeated.

Looks like we are definitely winding down. I put a tentative date up and may change it for round ten but it would move forward a day or two if I do. Please plan accordingly if you are freemium. Check the thread from time to time for updates. With my new job I have been extremely busy, but I do have a three day weekend and only have about 8 hours where I need to work on my second job. This means I should have time to really get updated on my tourneys.

I'm still here alive and kicking. Yah last round I barely made it through, too.
