after having little more than a gut feeling about hector, I spent way too much time (63 goddamn pages) looking through this thread again

If and when the cop dies, I become the cop, and get regular cop powers. Until then, I'm basically just a townie.

In the event of a cop dying, the backup cop takes over the cops duties. I'm pretty sure that in most cases they know who the other is.

He acts as a normal townie until the cop dies. He'll then replace the cop.
