1st of all,
john9blue wrote: addicting

is a cuntflap of a word which should only ever be used ironically.

2nd of all

john9blue wrote:10: legend of zelda ocarina of time: another one of my favorites as a kid. considered by critics to be the greatest video game ever made

Which critics? And just in case you think that question requires answering, let me follow up with, 'all critics are cunts'.

You can fish in a pond, I think you tame a horse or a pony or something, you play the ocarina for specific tasks, and something happens during the game and you get bigger somehow, I think. That's all I can remember from the "greatest video game ever made". Maybe I just suck(very plausible) but I would've thought the greatest game ever would leave a more lasting impression.

Ah, those were the days.

Army of GOD wrote:6. Sonic I, II, III

Were you even born when Sonic came out?

Anyway, sonic 2 was the best. Of course it was the best. The 2nd game in most series is usually the best.

Tomb Raider 2
Resident Evil 2
Tenchu 2
Diablo 2
Sonic 2
speedball 2
supercars 2
metal gear solid 2

My opinion is law. Dare question it and I'll set Tatsumaru on you.

Also, f*ck THIS MOTHERFUCKING FUCKING THREAD , AND f*ck YOU TOO TGD FOR GOOD MEASURE. Since posting in this thread I've been plagued with trying to remember a game from when Arad was littler. All I can remember from it is that I would always get to the same spot and get stuck becasue I couldn't figure out how to get across a big gap. There were possibly bats in the game. And it's possible that you could turn yourself into some animal, like a frog or something. How could I possibly figure out what the game is from that information. I don't even know what console I played it on.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I NEED A TIME MACHINE! Or a mind probing device.

Dunno what's worse, not remembering or not being able to stop trying to remember. screw you tgd for making this thread, I won't forget this...

ocarina is too old for that second list... but here's its entry on the site:

Most of my favourites have been mentioned, but Deus Ex and Shadow of the Colossus are two of the best games I've ever played.

My Top Ten Games (varies some depending on mood, but this is currently):

Caveat: I play PC games only, and I'm going to stick to non-RPG games, as if I include them,
that's probably all that will be in my list.

Front Office Football: The College Years
M.A.X. (Mechanized Assault and Exploration-pretty much the perfect strategy game)
Battle For Wesnoth
Blood Bowl

Those four above make the cutoff for my absolute favorites of all times...the rest may vary
over time and mood:

Zoo Tycoon 2
Imperialism II
Texas HoldEm Tournament Poker
Panzer General II
Tiger Woods PGA 06
Master of Orion II
Fantasy Wars
Hearts of Iron 2
Warlords III
Civilization V

Ok, so the last list is ten in itself...sue me.

I've never played a Star Trek video game, though I am fond of the series, especially now that it is all on Netflix. :D

i've spent the past day playing portal 2. it and its prequel are rather good, but IMO they doesn't have the significance or replay value to be considered the "greatest of all time"

Like others, no particular order:

Halo (CE for campaign, multiplayer goes to 2)
Masters of Orion II
Mechwarrior: Ghost Bear's Legacy
Madden (06 for specific one)
Star Wars: KOTOR
Battletoads
Any of the original Mario games for NES, adding in SMB for SNES
GTA III
Gauntlet
Pokemon Red (Silver gets honorable mention, if only it stuck with the original 150)

Of course you thought that. A character driven piece where characters evolve and change and grow? Must be one of the most alien things you've ever experienced.

I never played KOTOR and was thinking about getting it earlier this morning for like 4 bucks.

So worth it. The plot is one of the best ive played in a game, although the graphics and actual combat is slightly lacking. First one is definately better, but youll want to play the second after you beat it.

And FF7 was the best by far, and I dont even like that series, just to add to the previous discussion.
