This statement is incredibly off base. I was online all day and I can guarantee you there was always a game waiting for players. The TeamCC members did a great job of always keeping a game up and helping out "newbies" in live chat and the tournament thread to make sure they got into a game if they wanted to. There's no way the drop in participation was due to some small amount of players hogging all the games. The speed BRs take some very specific skills, ones that most of the players on CC just looking to play a game of Risk might not possess, which is why many experienced players chose not to play in the games. Apparently the Entertainment team realized this and decided to create some of these 24 hour BRs to cater towards the more casual crowd. This event has been well advertised on the home page and twitter feed, and with ~2 days left in the contest it seems like there'll be plenty of spots. I know bashing Team CC is very fashionable these days, but please make sure there's actually some basis when you criticize. The entertainment team did an excellent job running this event and should be applauded for it =D>

So, it appears I looked at the figures and jumped to the wrong conclusion. It wasn't my intention to come off as "bashing Team CC" - having been part of the team, I know how much hard work the volunteers put into this site. My frustration comes from the apparent lack of recognition/effort that goes into the technical enhancements of the site on the development side. I don't spend so long here as I once did, and am taking a break/hiatus from online games of World Domination - otherwise I may well have spent the whole night jumping into the BRs. Anyway, I stand corrected on the wider-participation front; although I remain wistful for times gone by and a passion that I once held and have now lost. Ho hum :|

Sorry for not joining my game. I think I thought we freemiums would be able to go beyond 4 for these like we could for the speed ones. Or else I figured I'd be eliminated in one of my other games before these started. You can give my spot to someone else. Apologies again.

Freemiums can't go beyond 4 for a BR? Come on, let the freemi have a little fun!
