Re: Italian Style Mafia Thread: Day 2 (15/18)
It would be better if I were to protect a power role (of course right now I have no clue who any are, so it is 100% luck) and die to protect them at least one more night (in case, say, they got a guilty result) than to let them die because I felt selfish or something.

Ridiculous - A claim with little to no pressure - and it sounds fake.
What does this mafia bartender do Eagle?

well I am new too
. You will catch on fast, these people are good. Just see strategy, etc, and always keep up with games even if you are killed so that you can see the roles people played, and how they helped.

He can describe his role, what is is, what it does, etc. What you cannot do is reveal (or pressure him to reveal) number of words, colors, ending words, anything specific like that. And quoting it, obviously. None of it will do you any good though, since I individually tailored each PM for each person even if they had identical roles to avoid such a tactic being useful.

In the Italian Style Mafia game, you are the (Mafia Bartender). In this game, the mafia is the town. You and teh rest of the mafia must eliminate the entire scum, leaving behind only the mafia, to win. You may chose one dead player and revive him at the cost of our death the following night.

You didnt quote it until it comes in the small quote box. Mafia bartender seems harmless, but a couple of us wants to know what they do.

Honestly - I don't think you "loosely paraphrased" your role according to rule 2. You clearly copied and pasted, along with your win condition, instead of softclaiming your alignment.

2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from the Mod. The only things you may post (loosely paraphrasing) are your roles (and anything associated with them), and alignment, during the active game. Once the game has concluded, feel free to post the rest of your personal information. You may not post your win condition, how many words are in your role PM, or any other kind of way to get around not quoting PMs. It won't matter anyway, I wrote each and every one separately, even those with the same roles.

Thats gonna be a mod kill. I dont remember if its this game, or the progeneral game (I think its this one) with 72 hour days, but if its this one, I think its time to get another case and let everywhere take care of the mod kill.

It was a real response. We had a 72 hour window, we lynched an inactive, who was a usurper, would have been trying to lead us on a wild goose chase to kill a pro town role. it is not hard to see how fircoals role was not good for the town. I would like you to explain how you think it was a good role for town.
and my reverse psychology was the "raise your hand if you did not know this" post, not that one.

Re: Italian Style Mafia Thread: Day 2 (15/18)
also bartender = bring back to life? that seems odd. plus why the claim with 2 (i believe) votes. seems even odder. And claims only 1 liners, but I read some other game with him, and the one he is trying to mod where he claims he plays at mafia scum.
So how new are you? you are savy enough to start your own game and claim to be able to mod it but then you can not come up with better defenses and only 1 line explanations for your votes? Not trying to be a dick, just trying to figure things out.

Re: Italian Style Mafia Thread: Day 2 (15/18)
The city of Salerno was visited by a band of traveling salesmen, peddling their wares across Europe to make a meager living. Most of the city ignored them, but one Salernian wanted to visit them. eagleblade went up to the travelers and asked "What do you have for sale?"
"Ooohhh, many things, Italian. For instance, we have this ancient scroll found deep within the Tower of Mzark. Only 2000 florins."
"Can I see it"
"Sure. Take a look."
eagleblade took the scroll and opened it. There was a great flash of light and immediately his retinas became burned. eagleblade screamed "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" and ran around, hoping to find something to restore his sight. eagleblade ran towards the nearest house to get something to wash his eyes with and ran right into a rake, causing it to become upright and smack him right in the nose. "OW! MY NOSE!" he screamed. He ran into the house and grabbed the nearest bottle he could find. Unfortunately, he was in Italy and the only liquid available to drink is wine. The alcohol burned his corneas, causing even further pain. In a panic he ran into the stove, setting all the alcohol on his face and arms to catch on fire. Now in seering pain, he tried to run outside, only to hit the doorjam and stumble into the cellar, whcih happened to the the Fetticini weapons cache. The fire ignited the ammunition, blowing up the house and sending eagleblade sky high. When he came back down 5 minutes later, he landed crotch first on an I-beam in an under-construction building. He fell off, landing on the ground 30 feet below, his body a charred, bloody corpse. A small metallic object fell out of his shirt and landed right beside him. Francisco found him a couple hours later, took the metal object, and brought it back to the rest of the Fetticini's.
eagleblade (FBI Officer) has been killed by a strange amalgamation of coincidences.

1) he does not see the value in lynching Fircoal and actually thinks it is a reason to vote for me. I believe this to be scummy. not the vote on me, but to use a good reason for a lynch and try to spin it as a reason to lynch someone, seems very scummy.
2) None of my posts even hint at me not knowing that maifa is town. Yes I think Fir was a good lynch for reasons I have stated many times. I believe that he is trying to play this off on me. a little too hard.
3) he decided to vote for me, but why? I changed my vote to Eagle because he has been acting VERY scummy. not saying much, hanging back, lots of 1 liners with no real thought (please see my two above posts). Which is why I wanted to pressure him. You claimed, we have time, you still seemed scummy, why not try and get two with one stone. (Of course now that he flipped scum, this makes you look pretty innocent)
4) he even listed Eagle in his list, and said nice OMGUS vote, yet still voted for me, why? I believe it was so he could later say I thought he was scummy look at my post. And even use it to jump on a band wagon if things went to far with Eagle, but I do nto think he saw the mod kill coming, which in my mind has left him out to dry.
Maybe nothing, maybe a lot but I want to follow it, especially since I believe that you are protown. no reason to put my vote back on you.

Re: Italian Style Mafia Thread: Day 2 (14/18)
Okay - I understand it now. I thought you were cheering because a member of the mafia died, not because it was an Usurper. Honestly the Usurper went over my head in my first read through.
Re-reading this post, I see that you had a full understanding of the Usurper. This is my first encounter of the Usurper, and I thought any mafia dead would be a bad thing. I've only ever seen Third-Party Aligned Lynchers, not "Town" aligned "Town Lynchers" I see how that is definitely a negative. Fircoal, had he been here, would of been very Jesteresque fogging everything up.
wildwilliam wrote:Usupers are not normally bad for town because they are trying to get the maifa godfather killed., but in this game they are. roles are flipped. A Mafia usuper would be trying to kill a mafia member, which would be town. so to get rid of a person who would try to make a town member look like mafia intentionally is a GOOD thing in the long run.

Re: Italian Style Mafia Thread: Day 2 (14/18)
Forgot to unvote, Ill check back tomorrow to see who should really be pressured then. Oh. and I didn't address my position on Eagle. I have made it apparent that.... How do I say this nicely..... umm.... I don't agree with how he plays the game. He noticed this and brought it up where it doesn't need to be brought up. So I have not voted him because I didn't want him to get angry at me thinking I am harrassing him and be retaliatory and ruin the game. That simply didn't work out. Honeslty if I was "scum" with him I would have politely asked to be replaced.
Don't take it personal if you are reading this Eagle, you have as much of a right to play as much as I do. I personally feel you cross lines, but if you are in any games I am in, I will not vote/kill/harrass or do anything out of spite. Ill keep everything game related.
And - Nice scene everywhere, that was very humorous
