With all due respect, the TO of this tournament can't simply pick and choose the participants on the premise that they are VIPs or not. We can't even be sure that he/she is a VIP or an alien from Beta Centauro.

I hoped that Dazey would be able to host this tournament without the usual controversy that ensues every aspect of this site. The females on the site are in the vast minority, and it was her idea to do this as a way for us to get to know each other better, and to bond, etc. Is there any harm in letting us have this little tournament without turning it into an issue? What would be the harm?

I could give you a very long answer, but I'll keep it short:
I couldn't care less about any group of players having a a little tournament. The problem is that it's exclusively for female players while there is no way to establish the sex of people signing up in this virtual world. It comes down to the TO deciding if a player is a man or a woman and thus if one can join or not.
If this would be allowed, anybody can start a tournament with any criterion one cannot "prove" and basically have a tournament for whomever the TO wants to participate.
i hate to say it ladies but the way lindy says it, is the way that it is. I got my hand slapped a couple weeks ago and no amount of begging and pleading changed anything, Blew my ego all to hell, but when its all said and done (although it doesnt seem that way now) he is looking out for us by making sure that after all the work thats been put in, its not shut down because of a technicality. Lindy, I love you dearly but sometimes...

I was given permission in advance to start this tournament. I asked to make sure it is okay. I will not be the one deciding if a player is actually a female or not. If somebody wants to play and states they are a VIP, it will not be based on my judgement but instead on their honor. Lindax, if you want to proclaim on your honor that you have a vag to CC, then by all means you will be welcome with open arms in our tourney!
