NCAA Wrestling [CANCELED]

Post by thechuck51 »

Choose the school you want to represent and battle your way to a national
championship. This is not a tournament for the faint of heart, the road
to the top is long and it will not be easy.

# of Entrants: 66
Map: USA Maps
Game Type: Standard
Play Order: Sequential
Troop Deployment: Automatic
Spoils: Escalating
Reinforcements: Chained
Fog of War: Sunny

Part 1 - Conference Tournament (Maps for each conference are listed below)

Brackets will be drawn randomly. The size of the conference will determine what
place we wrestle back to (refer to the conference lists below) and how many
qualify for nationals.

Part 2 - National Tournament (USA Map)

Prior to the start of nationals the 24 qualifiers that did not win their conference will be randomly paired for a single match.
winner advances, loser is eliminated.

The conference champs will be randomly assigned the top 10 seeds and receive first round byes.
The remaining 12 wrestlers will be randomly assigned seeds 11-22.
Winner is National Champion. Top 8 earn all-american status

Below is a list of conferences, the teams in each conference, the map for each, and how many
wrestlers will qualify for nationals.

Choose the team you would like to represent by replying in this thread.

I'm curious, you list seeds for the national tournament as 1-22, but if I count the total number of teams that advance I count 32. Where am I going wrong? How many advance to the national tuornament!
Dice stats are irrelevant. If I roll the same amount of 6's as everyone else, but my opponents role 6's at the same time, that's what matters, what's rolled opposite my dice. How about how many total guys I've won and lost while attacking?

@ AA...the 10 conference champions automatically advance to Nationals and get a first-round bye. I think that's the missing #s you're looking at.

yeah but he said the conference champs receive the top 10 seeds and receive first round byes, the other 12 wrestlers will be seeded 11-22.....that leaves people out somewhere?

Ah ha...here's how it is I think aa...

think of it this way
It's a 16-person National bracket...the 10 conference champs automatically get in, while the 12 other qualifiers have a wrestle-in match to decide the other six spots in the bracket.

If my math is right (and if it isn't please let me know) 34 people will advance from the conference tournaments. The 10 conference champs go straight to the top 10 seeds of the national tournaments.

The remain 24 players that will be paired up and the 12 winners will get the 11th-22nd seeds while the 12 losers will be out.

That leaves 22 players in hte national tourney plus 10 byes to complete the 32 man bracket.
