Re: DKs Best of 2011 I - No Spoils [Phase 2]
Edit, March 30th: Yesterday we ran into a situation, where someone won a map by the map victory conditions, without anyone having been eliminated. This is a situation I did not foresee when I designed this tournament, but since four of the nine maps have victory conditions, the situation could happen again. We need an emergency rule modification.
New rule: If someone wins a map by the victory conditions, without anyone having been eliminated, that person will automatically proceed to the next round. The remaining players will replay the same map.
The four maps with victory conditions are: Transsib1914 (phase 2), Northwest Passage (phase 3), Conquer Rome (phase 6) and Roark's Drift (phase 7).

Re: DKs Best of 2011 I - No Spoils [Phase 2]
Just to clear up a misunderstanding:
No, it's not in any game that's won by victory conditions;
it's ONLY if nobody has been eliminated. (I've underlined the key section.)
In your game there were three eliminations, so the fact that someone won by victory condition doesn't change anything. I hope that is clearer.

Finally.
So long, rjhankey, we'll miss you!
Congrats to Kingm not only for a win but for a very gentlemanly way of achieving it!
I'll have the next round out within a few days. It's a bit hectic on the home front right now.

Going to try to get this done, in bits and pieces if need be.
Okay, step one:
In this round we say goodbye to rjhankey, Tatts, buster582, and musteriuz.
Now, in Game 10789539 mcshanester29 was the first eliminated. However, bigdill33 hasn't renewed his premium, which would make mcshanester29 eligible to return. I've sent a PM to bigdill33 asking him to clarify his plans.
Also, we have another player, heatz, who seems to have disappeared from CC and creates another opening for some eliminated player to be reintroduced. So, I'll give it some thought as to who should replace him. I think maybe it should be soccerghost, who was the one eliminated from heatz's Phase One game.
Edit: Okay, bigdill was very promt in replying, and has confirmed that he will not renew his premium. Therefore, McShanester29 stays alive. As for the heatz situation, I will send ONE invitation to heatz pro forma, just in case he decides to miraculously re-appear just at that moment. If he doesn't accept, I will invite soccerghost.
Edit 2: I'd also forgotten that pridekiller needed to be replaced, and was technically the first to be eliminated in Game 10789539. Since we've already used McShanester to replace bigdill33, we'll have to bring up ejph, the eliminee from pridekiller's Phase One game.

Re: DKs Best of 2011 I - No Spoils [Phase 3]
And, with any luck, this might be our last change. With the attrition rate the way it is, you might be able to win this tournament simply by remaining a member of CC long enough.
Phase 3 games have been created and invitations sent out.
Phase 3
30 players in 5 groups will play 6-player games on the Northwest Passage map. The first player eliminated in each game is out of the tournament. The remainder will go on to the next round.
