Some games aren't worth winning. I put my biggest stack against his then hit auto attack. If the dice gods love you, you cream him and are still strong enough to survive. If not, well at least you went out on your terms and didn't give into someone's cheap tactic threat. Just my two cents, your mileage may vary. =)

You can't let other people dictate your strategy... Just play your game, and how it pans out is how it pans out. If they do attack you.... so be it. If not; destroy the everliving out of them.

I'd probably take everything he has, other than the little bonus in the bottom-right.

...and then lose to grey, like you're going to anyway.

The fact that you got into a situation like that says more than anything else about the game. If you have a stack of more than 10 and you haven't done anything with it, you deserve to lose.

I try to build a reputation in CC... If someone threatens to attack me I make it a rule to suicide into them next turn.

To me the little chump games are the ones to build reputations in as a mean no nonsense guy, then I save the biggies to let my reputation walk for me.

but to each his own.

If this had happened to me (and it has) I immediately join all of his games I can, and suicide into him in most of them.

edit-- before you discount this... Noone has done this to me in a long long time in CC... most people know I do not handle threats by now.
CC is a pretty small (active) community. Word gets out.

Apparently, suiciding even once is now considered a form of abuse, even when it doesn't appear to be an obvious suicide. Based on precedent: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=239&t=165024

The rulings in this place just get dumber and dumber.

It's pretty stupid that one game of this nature is enough to give out a "noted" for a situation of this nature. But there you have it.

Well NOTED is like leaving it pending - un-official warning. Lets an offender know to curtail an activity.

Well that's certainly not true. If it didn't mean anything, then the moderators wouldn't do it because there would be no point to it.

I don't believe I am. This will potentially be used as evidence against the guy when it's utterly ridiculous that it would be.

It could potentially be used as evidence if it's a repeated offense. Then he could get a warning. If someone doesn't suicide all the time, then having it noted should be no issue to them.

That's my point! Having done it only once (and frankly, looking at that case, that "once" was HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE) resulted in a note. So if it were to happen ONCE MORE (again, potentially in a highly subjective situation), an individual could find themselves with a warning for having done nothing wrong at all. It's stupid. Reams of "evidence" are required in other situations...why would this one be any different? Is suiciding SERIOUSLY a worse problem than deadbeating such that it requires so little evidence? Is suiciding SERIOUSLY a worse problem than newbie-farming such that it requires so little evidence?

Having a note doesn't necessarily require a warning if it's subjective again the next time. They just note it to go look at it later if something comes up in the future. It's really the start of compiling evidence. Nothing more. If someone is not a repeat offender, there is nothing to worry about.

To avoid the possibility of a suicide threat, just immediately suicide whenever you start a game.

Hmm... Don't want this thread to escalate further...

Just suicide before you join the Mae by dropping out.
