NCIS Mafia: Mafia Win!!

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is the leader of a team of special agents belonging to the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) Major Case Response Team. Gibbs, a former Marine, is a tough investigator and a highly skilled interrogator who relies on his gut instinct as much as evidence. Gibbs' second in command is Senior Field Agent Tony DiNozzo, a womanizing, movie-quoting former Baltimore Homicide Detective, who despite being the class clown always gets the job done. The team also consists of Ziva David, a former Mossad officer who is a skilled fighter, as well as Timothy McGee, a computer-savvy agent often mocked by DiNozzo. Assisting them are Abby Sciuto, the energetic-but-Goth lab tech who is like a daughter to Gibbs, and Dr. Donald Mallard, nicknamed Ducky, the eccentric medical examiner full of unusual stories. This team of elite agents, based in Washington, D.C., solve criminal cases involving Marine and Navy personnel and their families, sometimes traveling the United States - or the world - to do it.

I will run a game based on the CBS TV series NCIS. For now, I am looking for 16 players. I am still fine tuning the roles, so I may go with 13-18 players. Most likely will be 16 players. If you want to go ahead and sign up before things are finalized, feel free.

I have modified the rules, so make sure that you read them.

Moderator
1. If I make a mistake( ), I will try and fix it.
2. I have the final word. Do not try to argue.
3. Vote Counts will come every day or as asked. (If I just did one, then don't ask.)
Voting, Lynching, and Ending the Day
1. All votes and unvotes must be in red and I would really prefer red bold. If they are not, they will not be tallied.
2. You are not required to unvote before placing a new vote.
3. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote, once the majority has been reached any unvotes will not be counted. The majority is half the player's alive +1.
4. You may vote ‘no lynch’ to end the day without a death.
Day/Night Lengths
1. Day 1 will be 288 hours (12 days) from the time of the first scene.
2. All other days will be 240 hours (10 days).
3. All nights will be 72 hours.
4. Extensions
  - An extension may be granted for a day if requested by 3 separate people.
  - Extensions will be for 48 hours.
  - There can be two extensions per day and no night extensions will be given.
Be attentive and active in the game
1. You must post at least once every 96 hours (4 days)
  - First time not posting, will result in a prod.
  - Second time will probably result in being replaced.
2. Try not to double post except to EBWOP.
3. If something prevents you from participating for a long period of time, announce it in this thread, the vacation thread, AND via PM to chapcrap.
What Not To Do (Breaking these rules can earn you a mod kill)
1. Do not quote any PM's you receive from the moderator or another player. You may say your name, role, associated abilities.
2. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you can.
3. Do not edit/delete previous posts.
4. You cannot talk at night. Ever.
5. Once your death scene has been posted, you can no longer post anything related to the game.

1. Be nice and do not make personal jabs at other game players.
2. Try not take anything personal.
3. Understand that some players may be new, be accomodating.

Nice rule set, chap! (also like the *** tags on your game). I might steal those rules for my next game, IDK. they loook good. i like the bullets. little too strict for me but everyone has their own style

I don't know if it was too strict, but here's the parts that got me thinking along those lines:

Rules wrote:Day/Night Lengths:

An extension may be granted for a day if requested by 3 separate people.

I like the idea of making rules like this to keep people active, but IDK seems a little uptight and restrictive to me,especially the double post part, which I understand you don't want spam but it seems limiting.
Also the tone was very strict-sounding and it seemed like you were saying "follow these rules or else". The old rule set that everyone copies sounds a little more joking and much more friendly. Don't get me wrong I like your organization and all, it's just the tone sounds demanding. It may not be bad it's just sounds too strict to me.

I get what you're saying. I just made rules about the day to let everyone know what they were going to getting themselves into. I prefer strict deadlines to be made. I believe that helps push discussion too.

As far as double posting... I just said try not to. No big deal there. Just basically, think before you post.

Would it help if I added more smilies?
