Save Tour Stats?

Post by Dukasaur »

So, is there any chance of a movement to save the Tour Stats add-on in the same way that Map Rank was saved?

This was a fantastic tool; 90% of tournament organisers sang its praises, but it doesn't seem to have survived the Trench update.

Are you sure this is related to the introduction of trench?
Although it's been a while since I ran this script, I don't recall that the game settings were taken into account.

I don't know how it hasn't survived... I just used it this morning and it worked for me.

I would like to see someone add on to it though to include something like the number of unique defeats for a person in a tournament.

It is working for me as well.

You can check your own unique defeats in a tournament with map rank

Correct, but when I'm running a large tournament, that isn't very practical to do with each person in the tournament.

I honestly don't know, but it stopped working for me around the same time, so I figured it had something to do with it. But if it's working for everyone else, then that probably isn't it.

Does anyone know why it always worked for me before and now it doesn't? I know when I open Add-Ons Manager, Tour Stats is in blue while all the others are in white. What does that mean?

Yeah, I updated Firefox today, and suddenly Tour Stats works again. So the problem had nothing to do with CC.

All's well that ends well...:)

I did notice that there was a glitch with round limits. TourStats doesn't properly figure out what to do with games that end by round limit

How so? It still credits someone for the win, doesn't it?

I believe so. I noticed it during Saint Patrick's Speed Festival. OK, I just ran it again to see what I was remembering.

If you click over to the Results Tab, it doesn't credit the LOSER of a game called due to round limits in the "LOSERS" column. See the second game result from the top for an example. Still appears to credit the winner. I don't know if it credits the wins and losses correctly on the Summary Tab.

I remember it being an issue because in that tournament you got a certain amount of points for 3 player games. Before I got destroyed early in that tournament, I had planned on comparing my score with the leaders and was using the LOSERS column to determine the amount of players in a game (e.g. if there were 2, then it was a 3 player game). With that column blank, I would have had to go back and manually check for this information.

While I'm here, what do the little diamonds mean next to the winners' names in the Results Tab? Also, possibly related to the above, there is no diamond next to the winners of games ended by round limit.

Also what are the kills and eliminated columns in the Summary Tab?

Now Tour stats is not working for me. Seems it is frozen in the "Scanning...0%" message
Does this happen to other people, or is it only my problem?

It wasnt working for me either, then the phone rang.... after I got off the phone, tour stats worked. So it works, give it a lot of time (not sure exactly how long, less than like 5 mins)
