This series of tourneys is big. I have taken a look at all the maps we have out there and have come up with a series designed to test your mettle and muster. In this series, we will go from city to country to continent and finally the world and space.
It will also be for premium only due to the size and number of games that will be played in each tourney.
For the most part, I went with maps that represent current cities countries and continents. Going through them all, I found 49 land based and 2 space that fit the bill for this tourney. There will be 50- YES 50 regular tourneys, and 1 final championship tourney.
Each map will be its own tourney. We begin with the few city maps that there are, move on to countries, the globe and finally space. The final will be a 64 man single elimination and the playing field will be determined by the 50 winners, plus 14 entries which will be wild card entries, based off of player kills. A player kill is determined by each round winner, not individual game victories.
The 14 wild cards will be for those players with the most kills, without having won a tourney. If there are more than 14 players resulting from the kills, then those players with the lowest qualifying kill total will play a small series of games to determine player advancement
For example: There are 18 total qualifying wild cards. 10 of those players have more kills than 8 who have the same amount. The 10 advance automatically, whereas the 8 who have the same amount would play in 4 1 vs 1 match-ups. The 4 winners advance, completing the field of 64.
Qualifying tournaments will be played in the order listed below. The winners of each tourney will win a spot in the final, and be listed next to eh corresponding map(s) they win. If you happen to win more than one tourney, then all the better for you since each win earns you a spot in the championship. There is no limit to the number of spots you can win in the final. However, if you happen to win multiple tourneys and you are matched up against yourself, one is eliminated and one advances with no games played.
