First round should be out Sunday.

I think we might have to have a History of Nuclear War V to use up all these extra sign-ups!

Phase 1 begins!

Post by Dukasaur »

Dukasaur wrote:Phase 1]The most popular scenario for the outbreak of the next nuclear war starts with the Middle East. Whether you consider the extreme strategic importance of Middle Eastern Oil, the maelstrom of religious and ethnic hatreds that have consumed the region for thousands of years, or just its unfortunate positioning as the lynchpin that connects Europe, Asia, and Africa, it's easy to understand why so many Doomsday predictions feature the Middle East.
Phase 1
40 players in 5 groups will play 8-player games on the Middle East map. The first player eliminated in each game is out of the tournament. The remainder will go on to the next round.

Phase 1 games have been created and invitations sent out.

We have a record number of reserves (14) so I think we will soon have a History of Nuclear War V, and reserved seating for the 14.

The rest of you can enjoy your games right now!

Phase 2
35 players in 5 groups will play 7-player games on the Rail Asia (Beta) map. If for whatever reason there are problems with the map and it is withdrawn, we will use the Indian Empire map. The first player eliminated in each game is out of the tournament. The remainder will go on to the next round.

Games have been created and invitations sent out!

Incidentally, History of Nuclear War V, a clone of this one, is currently available for signups, if you absolutely gotta have some more of the same!
