Holy hell Kab, what a map
You take the art of map making to a whole new level, and make them look very attractive at the same time. =D>

I know this is about as far away as you can get from the BETA stage, but I jsut wanted to come in here and claim a spot in the first quads games you throw up on this map Kab :D
also to bump this a little, and throw a few =D> =D> =D> =D> your way!

So maybe give El_jefe a little more time to get settled, and then approach him about making the necissary changes to make this map happen? If the man is passionate about the site, then he should quickly see it's in his best interests to accomodate our #1 mapmaker when he's trying to create an absolute masterpeice :!:

Thanks guys for all the nice comments.

I'm still waiting on a XML revision that could change (just a tiny bit) the way killer-neutrals work:

This map needs the xml to deal bonus before killer-neutrals get triggered. This way K-N can be part of a bonus for 1 round - before going back to neutral.

This little change can open a vast field of new opportunities for map makers....

hope it goes forward.
It looks just gorgeous(like most of your maps)
And if it adds something different to CC gameplay, then it is mostly welcome
Keep up the good work ;)

I went ahead and removed the "Vacation" tag from the original post, since it's never left the Melting Pot or received any stamps.

Just a quick throw in for support for the map idea. I can't see the map itself, so maybe it's been removed over the last several months, but the concept seems pretty cool. Hopefully we can get the XML modification to get taken care of. Really, it shouldn't be much more work than cut and pasting a line or three of code around to change the order that everything's done in plus some beta testing before they release the new feature.

Just wait 'till you see the map then. It should come with a warning label: "orgasm imminent" ;)

To make sure I have an accurate understanding of what needs to be done, let me confirm that this is what happens below:

1) Player A holds a continent bonus, but Continent 1 has a Killer Neutral
2) Killer Neutrals are checked first, so the territory is turned to neutral
3) Player A held the continent bonus but did not receive it because by the time the check for the continent was performed, it was no longer all Player A's.

This is correct?

Yes it is correct.

If you chnge this there will be small changes to all maps. Because when you have 12 regions at regular maps with killer neutral and one of them is killer neutral you take 3 troops (as you lose the 1 territory before the bonus of the region number and so you will see 'receive 3 troops for holding 11 regions'). So its important the exact position that killer neutrals are checked.

Not that this minor change is a problem anyway.
