As there is only one game per player per round, freemiums are welcome. Please keep 1 slot open.
For each round, if you win your game, you receive a bye through the next round. Of all the winners in that round, if you have won your game in the fewest number of turns, you will receive a bye through the next two rounds.
For example: Round 1 will consist of 5 games of 6 players each. The player who wins his/her game in the fewest number of turns will receive a bye directly to round 4. The remaining four winners will receive a bye directly to round 3. All other players accumulate 1 loss each, and must compete in round 2.
- Round 1 will consist of 5 games with 6 players each
- Round 2 will consist of 5 games with 5 players each. 5 players will be on bye from the previous round
- Round 3 will consist of 6 games with 4 players each. 5 players will be on bye from the previous round, and 1 player will be on bye from round 1
After 3 rounds, we are guaranteed that at least 14 players will be eliminated. (Because only 16 games have been played, there will be a maximum of 16 winners). The number of players in each game in each of the subsequent rounds will be determined by the following chart.
If the number of players who must play a game in a round is X, the game format will be:
- 1 player = bye
2 players = 2 player game
3 players = 3 player game
4 players = 2 games of 2 players each
5 players = 1 game of 3 players, 1 game of 2 players
6 players = 3 games of 2 players
7 players = 1 game of 3 players, 2 x 2 player games
8 players = 4 x 2 player games
9 players = 3 x 3 player games
10 players = 2 x 3 player games, 2 x 2 player games
11 players = 3 x 3 player games, 1 x 2 player game
12 players = 4 x 3 player games
13 players = 3 x 3 player games, 2 x 2 player games
14 players = 4 x 3 player games, 1 x 2 player game
15 players = 5 x 3 player games
16 players = 4 x 4 player games
The format for byes remains. If you win your game, you receive a one-round bye. If you win your game in the fewest number of turns, you receive a 2-round bye. However, if you are playing the only game during any round, you will only receive a one-round bye.
The rounds shall continue as more players receive their 3rd loss. The last player standing wins.
Notes
1. Please post your 'in' status.
2. I will hold spots open for 3 reserves. Reserves will take over the same "loss count" as the player they have replaced. But a player who withdraws in round 4 or later will not be replaced.
3. The foe list is ignored. You must remove any foes that you are scheduled to play in this tournament.
4. Please join all games within 48 hours or you risk being replaced.
5. Please inform me if you will not be around for any short duration of time. If the period of time is short, I may delay your start.
6. I welcome any questions by PM or in this thread.
7. Ties for the 2 round bye will be broken as follows:
1. Won the game in the fewest number of rounds
2. Eliminated the most opponents in that game (from the game, not from the tournament).
3. Troop deploy (minus autodeploys) for the winning player in the final round. Higher wins.
4. Repeat of step 3 for the second last round. Then the third-last round. Then the fourth-last round. And so on.
5. Coin flip.
