Is this cheating?
I know we have to declare alliances in game chat, but is it cheating to suggest them to other members by PM?

Alliance per PM
An alliance per PM would be a "Secret Alliance" which is cheating...is it not?
Unless you mean testing the water with players and then declaring the alliance which I suppose would be acceptable.
I did this once when I atarted but then never again. Partially because I got very negative responses and while I think that PMs have nothing to do with the game...they are PERSONAL.
If you need a team to win there is TEAMCHAT...If it doesnt work in your game then there are no teams...no teams means only one can win...If only one can win, any form of alliance is LOGICALY nonsensical.
SO: Using the PM to form SECRET ALLIANCES is CHEATING.
All the Best

I am very glad your first post is correcting Wicked...lol
eh seriously, think before you post, moderators pretty much dicatate the law.
a.k.a. whatever your personal feelings, sending pm´s to test the water for an alliance is acceptable under gamelaw
Ofcourse you can always put someone who does it on your ignore list....

What part of 'no' do you not understand: The 'n' or the 'o'?
That obvious question aside, alliance inquiry via pm is normally considered VERY poor form, even tho' technically ok.

For all those who have suffered incontinence with thier morning coffees, I apologise but:
"I know we have to declare alliances in game chat, but is it cheating to suggest them to other members by PM?"
is not a simple question.
The wuestion nugget in this sentence is:
"is it cheating to suggest (them)...by PM"
we have to check what them is:
them= "alliances"
That he knows he has to declares aliances does give you guys some credit however.
But it is not implicit!
Therefore a simple "NO" answer could be missinterpreted or missleading.
Example:
"I know it wrong to to kill someone; but is it wrong in self-defense"
to SIMPLY answer "NO" maywell lead to all sorts of dificulties without defining it abit more.
I SIMPLY defined it a bit more. Not critisising or ignoring wicked WETHER HE BE GOD OR NOT.
Simply expanding the question and its implications and expressing my own opinions to the fact: Much in the spirit of a FORUM.
Perhaps a little thought on you guys behalf before replying would have helped to understand to sense of my reply...even if it is my FIRST POST which also has nothing to do with the fact; its not like Ive just learned to write!
Seriously, with discusion art like that...youll bring a conversation quickly o a halt...and most people just wont bother talking anyfurther to you...leading to solitude and misery...
Be nice

Using the PM to form SECRET ALLIANCES is CHEATING.
...and I repeat my statement to avoid obvious confusion:
Using the PM to form SECRET ALLIANCES is CHEATING.
...which most likely WICKED will confirm!
