List Player's clan in Scoreboard

Post by IcePack »

Concise description:
Have something on the scoreboard to show which clan each player belongs to.

Specifics/Details:

Something new to go along with Rank, Medals, Game completed etc on the scoreboard which shows which clan each player is associated with. You could also create it as a drop down menu, as an easier way to find all members of a certain clan.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

Easier access to information regarding players, and clans will help those who participate in clans.

I think they should hold off on that till they make an offical clan rank system. Right after hell freezes over.

They might make an offical clan rank system, but I agree. This needs to be held until the ranking system is implemented.

CC should incorporate clans natively. The module is great but doesn't cut it.

*dreams about a clan dashboard, where you can see past war stats without going through threads*

The issue with this is keeping up to date with which clans are competitive and which are social and making sure that if a player switches clans, it is shown correctly.

A player's clan can always be found in the usergroup drop down, which is on everyone's profile.

I've been thinking of this. The easiest way to code would be to show a player's default usergroup, but that wouldn't show the clans for all users. That would be man-hours in every month to keep track of exactly what chap is talking about, to put certain usergroups as a higher ranking for being displayed than others.

why is there not a table of clans and a list of members automatically generated as the info is on our profile page?

And within that table, it can be indicated on whether the group/clan is competitive, social, or a generic usergroup.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

and if there is a competitive one for a player it is listed in the newly created Clan field on the scoreboard.
