A: display correctly in forums below the avatars the platinum medals
B: The ratings medal is supposed to be awarded at 1500, not 1000
C: Change the name to platinum in awards details
D: increase the roman numbers above XXX and it's not in place yet

how are those items advancing?

A. Works on test forum, now. Should be updated soon.
B. Hard to test, but I'll prompt the programmer again.
C. Also fixed, will update with the others.
D. That will come later, I think. There was more backendish work to make tracking them work than the Platinum medals for Tournaments/Clans.

I just joined not long ago. Just wanted to say I think this is a great site and the ads don't bother anything. Keep up the awesome work. Love CC. Plan on staying around and winning a few more matches

when are we going to have platinum in our posts instead of ugly bronze? this is a very minor update, and it's pretty annoying for anyone with platinum to have bronze showing up!

I also don't understand how this still hasn't been fixed but there has been time to update and do a "quick edit" function and implement it into the site.

The quick edit is awesome, but you should finish one thing properly before starting other things I think.

Quickedit is something that's part of getting new forum software with the update that we had been planning. It was a simple matter of a few quick clicks.

Unfortunately the new management has rushed out incomplete updates and promised things they cannot deliver upon. I fear for the future of this site. Simple programming issues refuse to be resolved. Those of us with platinum medals still, after months, have them displayed as bronze in the forums (or labelled incorrectly as diamond in various places). CC5 was a complete disaster. The "update tracking thread" is a tracking tread of, well, not much. Our names are now blue in the forums, incorrectly, again.

I appreciate that transitions are difficult. But this transition seems to be not going so well, as evidenced by the precipitous decline in active members on the site over the past few months (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=152877).

I hope the new managers can get a handle on how to operate the site first, and only after properly administer updates. Promises are great, but unfulfilled or incomplete ones are far worse.

or perhaps they'll consider selling the site.

Still waiting for some actual programming work to take place I see !!

Btw - Ratings medal Platinum requires 1500 as it is easy to do.

Therefore, should Team Medal be less than 1000 as it is extremely hard to do???

I think what he is trying to say is that this fix should come *before* implementing new things, because it's been wrong for so long...

The team medal change is a policy decision, so I'll leave that to rds.

I would like to say that the Platinum Medal Bug on the forums has been fixed and is awaiting upload (should be this week).

Different programmers are working on different things. The hiccup in the medals images did not delay some other improvements that were already in the works.

I agree with DJ Teflon. I think the requirements should be lower for that specific medal. Right now, there are 9 people that have Platinum. Nine...

After being announced on February 4th, the medals update is finally complete. I just noticed that the platinum medals are displaying properly on forum posts. That's one long update period!

What's wrong with nine? If everybody could have one, it wouldn't be special.

Better late than never. A lot of people have had to familiarize themselves with a huge body of unfamiliar code that until last fall was lackattack's private preserve. Apparently they found the learning curve steeper than expected, but there's definitely signs that they're on the right track now.
