Serbia's victory is a great loss for music. But then again, the entire Eurovison is, so I guess they deserve some congratulations, if only for winning their first contest ever.

The Ukraine did not come up with a song for this contest, it was a bloody gay parade if you ask me. Not that I have anything against gay parades, by all means let them party, but I thought this was a song contest?

Hah flash, our country didn't even make the final cut. Such a miserable disgrace that was. To be honest I didn't even listen to our song, I only heard about it. I have no idea why I am caring more than I should be for this shite contest.

It really was hilarious - all the Eastern Bloc countries giving their votes to each other. Even more hilarious was how shite we, the UK, did and even more hilarious was how shite Ireland did. :lol:

eurovision has nothing to do with music, people just vote for countries they like...

which is why we always end up near the bottom

The UK song was absolute crap, as was their stage show, you can't deny that. And in defense of the Serbians one has to admit that she actually had a good voice, although I would have liked to see Ukraine or Moldova win. Ukraine because anything that crazy deserves a prize, and Moldova because they actually had a good song.

i actually listened to a scientist from the uk who had been predicting the winner of the contest for the last few years just by analyzing how countries had voted the previous ten years

after the semi-final he had run one of his simulations and it said that serbia was going to win it

they also pointed out that the fact that he wasn't right all the time showed that there was something else involved in the competition, not just statistics

...this was obviously not the case this year :wink:
