If any language currently without an International Forum wants one, they should first look into creating a Language Usergroup, as has happened in the past. If activity and membership are promising, a new International Forum may appear.

That was from 3 years ago (under our old Community Manager). It was tried before, but never went anywhere.

In any case an usergroup is a good way to start

Re: chinese language sub forum
would it be that difficult for a mod to create a new language subforum? do they have to pay for each new one or something?

Re: chinese language sub forum
maybe they don't post in the forums because the forums are entire populated by westerners writing about western culture in english
as i said, how many people from finland post in the forums? how many use the finnish language subforum? because they have an entire language forum all to themselves.

Re: chinese language sub forum

Re: chinese language sub forum
If you would like to have a Chinese language forum (or any international forum) all you need to do is start a usergroup. For which, you need 10 members (including the leader of the group). If a decent level of activity is achieved in the usergroup, I'll see about getting the forum put up in the public international area.
Re: chinese language sub forum
how do i do that then?

If you want to start one, I'll join as a user, mordigan, but my Chinese is poor at best. =)
But as for Finnish, there are quite a few Scandinavians around here. Some of the top players are from Norway (kingm, larsin), Finland (momopost), and Sweden (Gustaf Wasa). The most active posters (and best players) from Hong Kong (Chariot of Fire) and China (MrChangsha) are both Brits.
