[XML] Conditional Autodeploys

Post by -=- Tanarri -=- »

Concise description:
  • To enhance the XML to allow autodeploys on a territory if you own a different territory or continent

Specifics/Details:
  • For example, by owning a barracks territory in a town, you gain +3 on the town's main map territory
  • Or for a map like AOR, if you own a resource pair, you gain a bonus autodeploy on your castle
  • Another way it could be used is to create an economy... if you own a forest territory, you get +2 added to your wood territory or own a gold mine and get the bonus added to your treasury territory. The treasury territory could attack a number of different territories which could give bonuses, including a barracks territory which in turn adds extra autodeploy troops to your capital.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • This suggestion is one of the oldest XML suggestions which haven't been implemented and it has the potential to add a large number of gameplay options.

Over the next few days I plan on transferring over a number more from the XML Suggestions Thread, as I get the time to do so. There's at least another 3-4 which have been around for years and years which should be easy enough to code.

This one has been one of the most in demand updates for more than 4 years. Having a bit of a programming background myself (granted not in any serious web languages), I'd think this update would require pretty minimal coding. Most of the coding should already exist from the current autodeploy code and I may be wrong, but I'd think it'd be a case of copy and paste for the most part with adding one variable, one or two calls, and an if-then statement or two.

Hoping XML updates are being considered soon and that this one and the others listed in here will be added :)

This can be implemented using Transformations

bigWham, is there a post anywhere that you can link to which gives the details on what Transformations are capable of doing and how they work?
