Archer and other.
Archer for this alone which is funnier than anything on the list.

As for the other, guys, broaden the list, Americans make some great cartoons, but so does the rest of the world.
Japan-Tank Police

France-Heavy Metal

I have considered going back and watching King of the Hill more often. I didn't like it that much when I was younger but what I've found going back to watch it now is that the main reason for that was because I really was too young to get a lot of the jokes.

King of the hill was just underrated by so many people. To cancel this so others like American Dad and The Cleveland Show, both a rip off of Family Guy can get shown was a spastic decision. This was a real shame and it does need to come back. A pity that the idea of transferring it to another channel never came through.

Cherry
Apple
Pumpkin
Peach
Bumble Berry

You should try chicken pot too.

Should of changed it to steak and kidney, but apple is the best. Like a great cherry pie as well.

Heavy Metal 2000 was French? Well like you're selections. As excellent as a kidney pie might be. I probably don't quite get it.

Not really a dessert choice for most people.

Then again I do love chicken and beef, meat pies. So serve 'em up.

It was? What about the first one? Would make sense, that movie's "plots" were all over the place.

Anyways, not a political satire show, but Avatar the Last Airbender is really good (family show, has a lot of mature elements that adults would like, yet still acceptable for kids). Not to be mistaken for, as the Nostalgia Critic put it, "that blue pussy turd", or the horrible and unbearable live action adaptation named after it.

Not sure I would agree with this.

Fat loveable rogue: yes
hot wife:No, Marge has never been hot.
Loser Son: Bart is not a loser, just a rogue.
Daughter who hates him: Lisa loves Homer.
Comic sized sadist:No Who from the Simpsons fits this?
Non Human Best Friend:Yes, Alien, Dog, Bear, T.V., Beer.

But you could probably say this about most cartoons including the Flintstones.

Fat loveable rogue: yes
hot wife:Yes
Loser Son: No
Daughter who hates him: No
Comic sized sadist: Bam Bam
Non Human Best Friend:Dinosaur.

So who copied who???

Brian is coming back next year BTW. Not sure how I like that. If you are going to kill someone off, do it and live with it. I will never forgive Dallas for making me see Patrick Duffy in the shower.

I don't really recall the Flintstones using Fred's weight as a joke as often which is a constant staple of both Peter and Homer.

The pint sized sadist in The Simpsons would actually be Bart.

Marge actually is actually supposed to be the "hotter" woman that Homer got together with.

Lisa and Meg are the black sheeps of their respective family. Meg because everyone hates her. Lisa because while she loves her family she doesn't quite fit in with.

The similarities between the Simpsons actually go past the families.

Rich, borderline evil, character who is often at odds with the main protagonist: Simpsons, C. Montgomery Burns. Family Guy, Carter Pewterschmidt.

Stereotyped store owner: Simpsons-Apu. Family Guy-Mort Goldman.

Both Homer and Peter have 3 friends that they like to hang out at the bar with:

a. One who they've known from childhood: Simpsons-Lenny; Family Guy-Quagmire.

b. One who has some kind of physical or psychological disadvantage: Simpsons-Barnie, the alcoholic. Family Guy-Joe, the paraplegic.

c. One who is basically the token black guy of the group: Simpsons-Carl; Family Guy-Cleveland

They both have unusually perceptive babies. Family Guy - Stewie. Simpsons - Maggie.

They're both set in Am*rica.

Drunk, idiotic father that constantly gets into trouble for one reason or another? Check.
Nagging wife who pretends everything is fine, but can be the strangest of all in the family? Check.
Boy with below average intelligence, but can pull off remarkable schemes at times? Check.
Girl who is a social outcast and shunned, yet seems fairly intelligent? Check.
Highly perceptive and remarkably intelligent and resourceful infant? Check.
Group of (often) sterotypical friends? Check.
Father has bad relationship with his own father? Check.
Mother comes from family that more or less despises the father, but can on occassion get along for a short time? Check.
Evil, old fashioned, and rich villain that appears throughout the series? Check.

Brian is about the only difference.

well if you don't consider marge hot, how is lois hot? i mean marge has an awful hairstyle, but she is often presented as sexy in tons of episodes. it often comes with her going easy on her hair spray. like lois, she is drawn with a pretty nice body.

Macfarlaine was necesairly a simpsons fan doing the job he did with the age he has. In my opinion, he loved the concept and just dreamed about changing a few stuff to make it funnier. he took all characters, decided to make a few changes... as if it was kind of a "parallel universe simpsons". he just came up with the non human best friend concept to spice things up.
It is exactly the same thing, and I'm sure that if you ask him he will tell you it's on purpose, and he will tell you that it's on purpose if his own 3 shows are like that.

It would be interesting to analyze like that a few family sitcoms, because that's where the simpsons come from. you've had tons of family sitcoms, and in each of them it seems like the authors have always tried to pull a new concept of family, being as original as possible. Family guy did the exact opposite with the simpsons.

Simpson's is still my favourite. Writing hasn't been as good as it used to be, but when I started watching it I was a couple of years older than Bart. Now I am the same age is Homer. So always been a part of my life. Next was Futurama. Loved it when it made its first run. King of the hill was very underrated. Can't believe that was canceled and the Cleveland Show still lives on *sigh* Used to like Family Guy the first few seasons. Haven't watched a complete episode in years. Don't care to. I see there are a lot of Archer fans on here. I haven't seen it. Thinking I should make the effort. But Bob's Burgers is a great show. H. Jon Benjamin does the voice in both shows. He is funny as shit.

It's funny cause out of all of these only the simpsons and south park have ever been big in france. I know that in spain futurama is huge too. I think this comes from the voice over castings.
The simpsons for example is one of the few shows where I love the english, french and spanish voices. It's been the same from the start and they are all very similar.
If I remember well bender sucks in french and is pretty awesome in spanish.

Funny thing about Marge Simpson, they did a Playboy thing with her awhile back.

What? Marge is drawn with a hot body, yeah, but Lois has a chunky 'mommy' body. The sort of thing that you'd have to be a middle-aged middle manager to be attracted to.

Stewie shot him and lit him on fire but he died from getting run over by a car? Pff, I guess they wanted to kill him but couldn't find a way to make it happen convincingly.

What I'd rather watch usually depends on what episode in general first from last (not including movies):

2. Any Futurama episode from before it was brought back
3. South Park
4. Newer Futurama episodes
5. Most other Simpsons episodes
6. Archer
7. Family Guy
8. American Dad

Except Lois is doing just about everything that moves.

From wikipedia
Though she still truly loves Peter, Lois is somewhat promiscuous and has cheated on Peter several times, with older and younger men, sometimes with disastrous consequences. Her extramarital affair with former President Bill Clinton, who was quick to seduce her, would result in temporary separation from Peter. She herself would seduce her daughter Meg's boyfriend, Anthony, and have an affair that would result in the separation of Meg and Anthony. She also passionately kissed Meg's classmate and would-be lesbian girlfriend, Sarah. Lois would in fact conceive Meg from an extramarital affair with a man named Stan Thompson. She would cheat on Peter several times when she became a prostitute, with Meg, to get money to afford for Chris' high class school education, a job in which she ultimately made more money with sex than Meg. Lois can be in denial most of the time and she doesn't believe her family isn't perfect and she refused to believe her family are insane. Lois has attempted to cheat on Peter with Bob Barker and Justin Bieber, both of whom she unsuccessfully tried to seduce. She has also been shown to have a large number of ex-boyfriends, including Gene Simmons of the band KISS and a friend of Peter's named Jerome — both of whom have given her the nickname "Loose Lois". In the episode And I'm Joyce Kinney, it was revealed that Lois had participated in a pornographic film called "Quest For Fur" to pay for her cocaine addiction which further cemented her being promiscuous.

1) quite the opposite here. I hate watching old simpsons episodes. I'm like, wow, the graphics have really evolved, looked horrible back then, or buhh, i've already seen it. I think that the simpsons have also been evolving in their humour capturing the zeitgheist. 95-00 humour is old.
2) never passed the stage of mildly amusing
3) pooo!!!! fart!!!!! puke!!!! they killed kenny!!! cartman swears!! haha! this is ok humour if you're 15 and your body is going through some changes.
4) can't see the difference
5) so you'd rather see a simpsons episode you've seen 10 years ago rather than some new fresh ones? i love watching new ones. By the way, last week thought skinner's mom was really dead for a moment, could've been interesting.
6) fucking awesome. i can't stop laughing with all these fucked up characters!
7) fucking awesome. i can't stop laughing with all these fucked up characters!
8) it's funny but.... i don't know, i wouldn't want to watch a full season as a choice, i'd just watch it if it's on.

South Park isn't the smartest show on tv no but they take controversy and ridiculous scenarios farther than any other show is willing to which is why I like watching them. The same episode of The Simpsons from 1995, is still hilarious today. The same goes for Futurama. Family Guy has stopped being hilarious years ago. It's still good enough to watch. It'll give me enough laughs to watch an episode but it's been years since they've come out with an episode I've ever cared to watch again and most of those I don't watch more than 2 maybe 3 times and don't care to see again. That's what separates the Simpsons, Futurama, South Park and Archer for me from Family Guy and American Dad is that I can rewatch those shows for the fifth or sixth time and still find them funny.
